FEATURE 1639MaltDrinkerCan you add "Race - Virtual" to running categories please? |
FEATURE 1638AndySWhen I use my Garmin to record an "Elliptical" session, have it imported as "Cross - Elliptical", rather than "Run"
AndyS says: Naturally, I have some .FIT files available if necessary.
|
FEATURE 1637rhbBadges, sort by rarity option fetcheveryone.com/badges.php?sort=category
fetcheveryone says: You can already get a quick view of this by generating your badge infographic. Rarest at the centre.
rhb says: Ok ta. |
FEATURE 1636SPREither only have one notification for each blogger (eg X has written 3 blogs), or have an expandable notification for each blogger with the details of each blog. For anyone that doesn't read blogs straight away, the new system can lead to a long list |
FEATURE 1635SailorSteveThe new Blood Pressure monitoring option in training is really useful. Would it be possible to add a “monthly” reminder option to the existing “daily” and “weekly/day of the week” ones please? |
FEATURE 1634PeggStreak Leaderboard - Would it be possible to have a column showing average number of miles per day? It would be interesting to see who is doing what...
Bowman 🇸🇪 says: Yes!
Steve NordRunner says: Over what period - the whole streak, or some kind of moving average? It should be settable to km, in any case. Bowman 🇸🇪 says: May by choice, whole streak last year, and so on. And yes km. ![]() Pegg says: Km and miles could be toggled in the same way as across the rest of the site? |
FEATURE 1633chunkywizardGroup notifications about comments on a blog to one notification per blog to avoid this
Flatlander says: Your request is how it used to be until recently. Your screenshot example also happens with training comments.
Flatlander says: Also, I have no idea which notification relates to which blog I have written, so I have to click all of them so I don't miss one. |
FEATURE 1632gwowenMy park run times don't register as "Best 5k" in the monthly infographic, mostly because they measure a little short. Is it possible to include race / parkrun in the infographics benchmarks, regardless of GPS distance.
HappyG(rrr) says: I think if you add them manually as parkrun results they show up in some places e.g. UTMOST. Does that not work for the infographic gwowen?
![]() gwowen says: No. As you say, they show up in some places -- like fetcheveryone.com/benchmark.php If I look at the benchmark there I see a 23:36 5k last weekend. On my infographic, its a 25:33 from a longer run. |
FEATURE 1631Bowman 🇸🇪Any way of getting the training plans also to be available in metric? I can’t get my head around having the plans in miles. |
FEATURE 1628SJAIn benchmark listings show the category of the run as well as the time. I have lots of 'dog running' times I would like to remove but I have to click each one to check if the dogs were dragging me along at the time ![]() |
FEATURE 1625ptr_rnrIn WSW, be able to pre-position your grid for the following match. Currently, if you move your grid during a match, you then can't move it back until the new game starts. At that point, you've then used up your one move allowance.
Cheeky’s Dad says: I see the issue if you stay in two places regularly but maybe thems just the breaks. I live in a very rural area so one move a week still leaves the vast majority of the grid still out of reach
Cheeky’s Dad says: Being more sympathetic 😁 perhaps one could set a default home position and the grid resets to that at the start of each game with a “leave it where it is” option. ptr_rnr says: That sounds like a reasonable alternative! Similarly, wherever I put mine will have areas that are unreachable. |
FEATURE 1623Bright StriderRace Guide Email The range is set to 50 miles. There is no setting for it. Request: set it by the most recent range that one used in the website race finder. The default range would remain 50 miles. fetcheveryone.com/races-map.php
Steve NordRunner says: I would like this for people who live a long way from most races, i.e., those out in the country somewhere, or not in tje main UK
|
FEATURE 1622Ocelot SpleensWalking/Hiking Centurion Badge. As per running one. All 12 months of a calendar year with 100 or more miles of recorded Walking/Hiking.
Cheeky’s Dad says: Anyone walking more than 100 miles a month for a year deserves a badge (one which I will never achieve)
|
FEATURE 1620MaccathecrackerA new training activity of "sauna" would be useful, for me at least. I'd like to track HR and weight loss in it without interfering without any water based tables/games/challenges.
Maccathecracker says: A tough crowd in here tonight 😂. For context, I've got a desert race coming up and heat acclimatisation appears to be an accepted thing. Naively I thought it ticked all the boxes, going to a venue, getting changed, raised HR, perspiration, cals burned
AndyS says: +1 - and also "steam room" ![]() |
FEATURE 1618faithfulredA badge for running the same route 100+ times. Follow on badges could be 150X, 200X, etc. You could call it the 'unadventurous badge' or something like that ![]() I've just noticed that I've run one route 105 times!
Snoot says: Posssibly with a min distance or something though so it’s not just track session?
JenHB says: Would you also exclude parkrun routes? chunkywizard says: I do like a badge and I would include parkrun in it (why not?). 1 mile minimum? |
FEATURE 1617auburnetteI'm obsessed with the pre race training analysis. Can we add a column "Hours (Including XT)" to capture cross training as well as running- this would help understand the impact of cross training especially where training was affected by injury
auburnette says: Cross training to include all non running activity that is logged - bike, walk, elliptical, swim etc etc
|
FEATURE 1614UkexpatSome cycling power meters transmit power balance between left and right and that data is embedded in the ANT+/BLE data and displayed on, for example, Garmin Connect. If you could also add a display of that data to FE, that would be great. Thanks. |
FEATURE 1613Shortcut CamHave a bike (and run) category called Fetchpoint
RunningRonnie says: Why would people select "No" here? Meh is understandable if you wouldn't use it, but you would not ever see it if you don't want it.
chunkywizard says: perhaps people don't want Fetch to waste time of this instead of a feature they voted for? |
FEATURE 1612HappyG(rrr)On the Race Portfolio, the count of events at the top to change if you put a keyword in the filter. Currently count stays the same even though events are filtered out and not shown eg 123 5km, filter parkrun shows 112 but count still says 123! ![]() |
FEATURE 1609larkimOn the drop-down for reviewing the training log, add an additional user-customisable period to add to "last 30 days" or "last 365 days". e.g. I might want to often look back 10 weeks and use the "totals" tab to see that accumulation.
HappyG(rrr) says: I thought you could already put in any from and to dates?
![]() larkim says: But then you have to work out when was 10 weeks ago, or 8 weeks weeks ago etc etc. larkim says: But then you have to work out when was 10 weeks ago, or 8 weeks weeks ago etc etc. larkim says: But then you have to work out when was 10 weeks ago, or 8 weeks weeks ago etc etc. |
FEATURE 1608SimpleE-MTB Electric Mountain Biking |
FEATURE 1607Bowman 🇸🇪Can we have a new activity name for runs. Run - Fun tempo |
FEATURE 1606PeggBe able to see 'on this day in history'. What workouts/routes I ran on this day in previous years without having to click through each year one by one |
FEATURE 1605flankerFor hill/trig bagging, let the user set a tolerance level for when the entity is bagged. Many people (😜) only want to tick it off a list if they've specifically been to the point rather than happened to pass by 79m away without realising.
Fragile Do Not Bend says: Yes, but only if they can make it smaller and not bigger
Snoot says: Agreed idea is to be more accurate flanker says: Yes, to be able to make it more accurate. But leave the default at 80m so it requires a conscious effort to change it. fetcheveryone says: Probably easiest to hand back the hills you didn't earn, if that's your thing. flanker says: the problem with that, which I'd looked at, is with all the lists and duplication of many hills in them it's very labour intensive. Even if you knew which hill you'd inadvertently bagged, which currently you don't. fetcheveryone says: So you go within 80 metres of the top of a hill, and then stop? Regularly? flanker says: Yes, cos I'm knackered! But being serious, I've already had a few I've picked up by passing by (unknowingly) within 80m. Of course not for the big hills, but easily for some of the lesser ones and trigs. |
FEATURE 1601DoricQuineThe option to set a target and track progress other than distance eg deadlift a certain weight. |
FEATURE 1599larkimHave a separate template for creating a training plan which is not the same as my current training plan to make it easier to create a new template without risking deleting everything from my current plan.
fetcheveryone says: I'd suggest increasing the number of weeks on display, then using the blank space. Rather than having a Training Plan and a Training Plan Plan.
larkim says: The only problem with that (which is what I've done before) is that deleting it is a faff as you can't delete by date range. Rosehip says: Deleting by daate range would make planning easier… larkim says: Yep, a good compromise solution rosehip Dillthedog says: I’d agree with this too. If you have an existing training plan, and would like to add a future plan afterwards, but cock it up, you have to delete everything and start again. Talking from painful experience ![]() Cheeky’s Dad says: + 1 for delete date range |
FEATURE 1598RunningRonnieIn the Training Log, when clicking the drop down list to filter on dates, move "All Training" to the top of the list rather than the bottom. |
FEATURE 1594Bright StriderFetchpoint Spectator Bug Specify a race day. Upload the course. On the day, your day's bug appears on the course. You pick it up and squash it (if it is out or goes out of your circle). After a marathon, you have done your exercise for the day.
Bright Strider says: One can move one's homepoint to where the race is and select 'Inaccessible' until the bug is on the course. But that would be time consuming and unpopular with family and friends.
|
FEATURE 1593PeggFind a route - when the map brings up the routes marked by the circles, could there be a list on the side with name & distance, then when you hover over the name it highlights the route on the map? Quicker to select relevant routes.
fetcheveryone says: But... when you click one of the circles, it brings up this information. I'm confused
![]() Pegg says: I can narrow the choices to eg min 5 miles max 15 miles because I want a route that I can either just run, or amend to 10 miles and run. At the moment I have to click on each circle in turn to see how long the route is and where it goes. If there was a ta Pegg says: a list on the right with name, distance maybe hillscore too, then by hovering over the name it highlights the route on the map, I could just look at the relevant ones. And easier to remember which one I want to go back to rather than remembering which dot Pegg says: is 'the one' JenHB says: This sounds similar to an old request of fine (ID 807 I think..) Pegg says: Also - when there are a lot of routes that start in one place it'll make it easier to find the one you want |
FEATURE 1592larkimOn the pre-race training page fetcheveryone.com/training-prerace.php allow users to set the default distance (and perhaps also the periods) so that it comes up with more relevant data first time. |
FEATURE 1591SpartanMythOn the Who Squares Wins map overlay, I'd love an indication of which squares are marked as "hit" by a specific activity. Then I could adjust my routes to avoid clipping the corner of a square without marking it visited.
fetcheveryone says: Do you mean the route plotting map? Or your training entries?
SpartanMyth says: I had many training entries in mind... One never knows how gps data will end up lining up with the underlying map... SpartanMyth says: I had many training entries in mind... One never knows how gps data will end up lining up with the underlying map... SpartanMyth says: My* chunkywizard says: Think I requested this in another feature request. It’s a yes from me |
FEATURE 15863MConquercise zones "split" between cyclists and runners and walkers - so you could be the "running" or bicycling" or "walking" owner, without having to directly compete with people in different exercise categories.
SpartanMyth says: Perhaps this would allow an associated map showing zones visited by each, rather than any, mode?
Bright Strider says: How would being able to upload zone photos work? |
FEATURE 1579fetcheveryoneFetcheveryone Towels. To take swimming, to sunbathe on, or just to wander around the house in.
GimmeMedals says: Little ones to take to the gym as well, as big ones please.
AndyS says: Everyone should know where there Fetch towel is. Pegg says: A small one would be great for when you're on the treadmill Gooner says: A small (but bigger than those tiny flannel things) one would be good...maybe a big one too. RunningRonnie says: Wonder if a large microfiber towel would be good. |
FEATURE 1578HappyG(rrr)I love the benchmark feature esp to look at different time periods. fetcheveryone.com/benchmark.php?distance=10k&startdate=2016-02-13&category=R&unit=miles Could we have WAVA version too? Where does a recent run WAVA rank over X years? |
FEATURE 1575larkimOn the training plan, leave "today" as editable. Often I'll look at the plan for today/tomorrow etc and want to swap around, but I can't put the new "today" run on the plan and only changing tomorrow will distort the total mileage for the week.
fetcheveryone says: Today's entry in the plan appears at the top, with a 'do tomorrow' button.
larkim says: Yes, but if I want to do tomorrow's today I can't move it backwards. If that makes sense? |
FEATURE 1574Option to hide popular blogs and recent forum activity on the home screen. To help people stop themselves getting sucked in when they're thinking to use their time for other things more.
fetcheveryone says: You can already mute specific forum threads. Look for the mute link in the header of any thread.
says: I mean the option to remove those two social widgets from the home screen you see. Or a theme you could select. To make access to the forums and blogs only via the menu, if the user wants it that way. Curiosity about what might be written behind a blog or says: thread title, and the anticipation in itself can create a strong impulse to click. Bright Strider says: The selectable theme might work. E.g., focus theme. ZenTaoPlurp says: A great feature suggestion: yes please. ZenTaoPlurp says: Perhaps the simplest solution to this is to allow a home page of choice. Mine would be 'Training'. Tahdah. |
FEATURE 1573DrDanSetting Heart Rate Zones. Usually the critical thing about staying in a training zone is knowing the upper value... but on the tool you see the lower value in the colour-coded box. So my Zone 2 is 125+ whereas I really need to know it's <134 bpm.
fetcheveryone says: Which tool please?
StuH says: fetcheveryone.com/user-settings-heartrate.php For me z1 is set to 110+ and z2 is 121+, whereas in my head z1 is <121 and z2 <130 Bowman 🇸🇪 says: I agree, it’s kinda backwards in my head as well ![]() fetcheveryone says: It does rather break the system if the top of Z5 is by definition your HR Max. DrDan says: I thought that the top of Zone 5 is your maxHR? fetcheveryone says: Yes it is. DrDan says: So that's fine. Each zone is defined by it top HR, including Z5. Steve NordRunner says: There is definitely something non-intuitive with setting the zones as they are shown now. Maybe it would suffice to change the appearance of the zones settin page so that it is clearer what number is the top of one zone and the bottom of the next one up. Bowman 🇸🇪 says: Agree DrDan says: Agree |
FEATURE 1568Bowman 🇸🇪Maybe a table with the normal distances at lowest HR and highest pace, not really sure how. But would be an interesting thing to look at and follow.
fetcheveryone says: I don't understand this request, sorry.
Bowman 🇸🇪 says: Some way to follow how your HR gets lower in certain speeds and or speed goes up in certain HR, but i think maybe we can se similar on HR page? fetcheveryone says: This page gives you something that sounds like what you're asking for: fetcheveryone.com/training-analysis-heartrate.php Bowman 🇸🇪 says: Yes a bit is there, thanks |
FEATURE 1567CarpathiusA Nostalgia section of the site, to place memories, photos etc. of Fetch meet ups. E.g. I'd like a place to write memories of the Fetch team at Round Norfolk Relay, and have others who were there write theirs, add photos or links to results etc. |
FEATURE 1558Bowman 🇸🇪I would like to be able to sort people on name or runned distance and what not, on my peoples page, people i follow. |
FEATURE 1556ZORBAX65è possibile far comparire quando apro la mia attività la scarpa utilizzata con accanto i km corsi fino a quel momento?? taduction: Is it possible to show the shoe used when I open my business with the km traveled up to that moment next to it??
Dillthedog says: Yes, really useful rather than having to separately go to the kit page
ZORBAX65 says: grazie Dillthedog |
FEATURE 1552GimmeMedalsPlease can there be a badge for getting 10,000 blue circles in a year.
Dave W says: What game is that from?
GimmeMedals says: It’s in the training log, on the Map tab roberton says: But just 10,000. +1 from me. But none for interim counts or for higher counts. roberton says: That was harmed from me! I meant to say +1 from me, but just the one badge as proposed. Simple. GimmeMedals says: I agree Roberto; we don't need lots of variations for this one. GimmeMedals says: (sorry the autocorrect changed your name!!) roberton says: (I am actually called Roberto so that's fine ![]() Velociraptor says: I'd be perfectly happy for there to be interim badges too, since 10000 is quite a challenge unless you use a bicycle. chunkywizard says: More badges = more fun! Ocelot Spleens says: No. Badges. Keep this badge free. Rosehip says: Please can we have the squares instead that were talked about? |
FEATURE 1550Bright Strider'Create Training' Button on Route Page Often I create a route and then create a manual training entry with the route. Please add a 'create a training entry with this route' button to the route page. |
FEATURE 1549MrMolewhen trying to view zones on Conquercise on my mobile, the format of the display is such that the map itself is very small on the screen. Can the map window be increased in size, or have the option to do so as when viewing it on a laptop.
Bright Strider says: On a laptop or desktop, you can use the maximise button, on the top right.
MrMole says: Yes indeed, but wanted that replicated on the mobile view as the map is tiny on my phone fetcheveryone says: How much of the phone height does the map fill for you? And how about in landscape mode? MrMole says: Ah, I think i may have made an error. When you look at the map in landscape it does appear to have the option to expand the view to fill the screen. Maybe i've only ever used portrait mode which doesn't have the expansion option? My bad MrMole says: When you select an individual zone the space taken up by the map is pretty small in both portrait and landscape but, that's much less of an issue to me! |
FEATURE 1543BarefootEmWhen you have already opened the fetch calendar but can't remember what the challenge is, be able to go back to the challenge page without having to input your email address again. |
FEATURE 1542Bowman 🇸🇪Can we have hillscore value up in the small boxes on an activity page? as same as pace and ascent and so on.
StuH says: Would be great to have it in the list of training log entries, and sortable
|
FEATURE 1538Bowman 🇸🇪Add possibility to have HR zones instead of pace zones on the yearly infographic. |
FEATURE 1537Dave WHow about a league table of cposters in the "Count to a million" forum. Would add a bit of competition, and hopefully push up the contributions. |
Bright Strider says: Would Zorbax65 please use Google Translate?
ZORBAX65 says: hi, it is possible to let out some data when in the YOUR LOG menu I select ALL... at the top there is space to put general totals of the km traveled and the general average and how many km I did on average per day, total races, and |
FEATURE 1532JenHBIt would be useful being able to add photos directly to a forum post (or at least the system saves a draft so when I click on 'add image' and then upload it I don't lose my half-finished comment!)
AndyS says: Open new tab is your friend here...
HappyG(rrr) says: Ability to paste having previously selected in some other part of phone or computer and chosen "copy" there! But yes, direct insert and take you back to the comment you were writing rather than a separate tab would be nice! ![]() |
FEATURE 1527Bowman 🇸🇪Introduce a new metric “ascent factor” AsFa, which is ascent divided in distance which gives a good comparison between routes and runs!
StuH says: Hillscore?
Bowman 🇸🇪 says: Yes! better name ![]() StuH says: It already exists! not sure how it is calculated though Bowman 🇸🇪 says: Yes ok i see ![]() HappyG(rrr) says: Hillscore is great - should be more prominent. And should be leagues and discussion forums etc. For all those folks who play in the Lakes and Scottish hills etc (and Alps and Andes and wherever else people get to that are *really* hilly! ) ![]() Bowman 🇸🇪 says: Hillscore maybe should be visable on the activity page to then. Bowman 🇸🇪 says: ill do a new request, this one can be closed. StuH says: Would be great to have it in the list of training log entries, and sortable |
FEATURE 1525HappyG(rrr)Apols if asked before, I tried to search and couldn't find. Ability to show two or more graphs on training entry overlaid e.g. pace and elevation, pace and HR, all 3. At the moment, trying to scroll up and down to see how much I slowed on hills. Ta. |
FEATURE 1520CrispByNature 🇬🇧Somewhere to list outdoors volunteering activities
CrispByNature 🇬🇧 says: For example this group is local to me and organise monthly kayak litter picks in the local canal: rageagainstrubbish.co.uk
HappyG(rrr) says: Love this one. ![]() |
FEATURE 1518JustCommando!When adding a race to your portfolio, it would be nice for a training entry to appear in my plan of the same distance and type as the race. This could be a checkbox/dropdown enabled feature on the race-result-edit page. Helps keep totals tidy!
StuH says: If this is done, please exclude tentative races
Dillthedog says: Maybe have a checkbox for “include mileage in training plan”? Helegant says: ^^ What Dill says Bright Strider says: Sometimes the race course has to change, on the day. GPS tracking helps, in such cases. |
FEATURE 1516Steve NordRunnerAdd a comment field to People - Fetchies you follow. This is a bit embarrassing, but I forget sometimes why I follow the training of some Fetchies. I would like a comment field for myself, to remind me of why.
Bowman 🇸🇪 says: I would really like this too, I have no idea why I follow Steve for instance, would be nice to remember that.
![]() |
FEATURE 1510johnsyHave somewhere to see all notifications, those that have been cleared as well as those that have not.
fetcheveryone says: These aren't currently stored anywhere.
|
FEATURE 1504Bowman 🇸🇪On the little pop up info in the field with pace chart on an activity, it just says “heart rate”, but is it an average until then, or average for the actual km you are pointing at? And if so, can I get an overall until that km you are pointing at to?
Bowman 🇸🇪 says: I basically quant to know what my average hr so far during that activity was. Not at that point or at that km but until that km.
fetcheveryone says: If you're talking about the graph that overlays the map - it's current heart rate. Bowman 🇸🇪 says: Ok, an average until the point you looking at would be nice. Gooner says: But I like knowing current HR at the point I look at... 🤷♂️ Bowman 🇸🇪 says: yes but maybe two metrics is possible |
FEATURE 1502johntzKit: add "time used" for shoes that are used for X-training. Some folks retire shoes after so many running miles, same could apply for shoes that are used in the gym. Or just for reference.
RunningRonnie says: Good idea - my old running shoes become my new gym shoes.
Pegg says: Same as feature 1569 |
FEATURE 1501JoeBakerThe ability to see a training session on a Buddies training plan (ie future stuff) can only see historic session completed at the moment |
FEATURE 1500larkimGrab the "Recovery Heart Rate" data from garmin .fit files to be displayed / recorded as part of training entries (don't know if other watch manufacturers record this hence being Garmin specific) |
FEATURE 1498MozzerWould you consider a Fetch car sticker? The type that fit on the inside of the rear window, they'd be pretty cool!
Rosehip says: I have one, they were a thing. If you’re lucky Fetch might still have some?
Rosehip says: I have one, they were a thing. If you’re lucky Fetch might still have some? johntz says: Yes please! I'd pay the price of a coffee for one Flatlander says: Same as Rosehip, I had a Fetch sticker until I sold the car. Gooner says: I still have an unused one in a box but unfortunately it is reserved for my next car Gooner says: I still have an unused one in a box but unfortunately it is reserved for my next car Mandymoo says: If Fetch was interested in this I know someone who could probably do |
FEATURE 1494FunkyPOMA badge for finishing all three streams of the virtual challenge before it finishes |
FEATURE 1487auburnetteReally like the Training Group feature to compare your training to others who achieved the same target. Is it possible to filter by sex as this affects the required training quite a bit? Age would also be good but sample sizes may become too small.
larkim says: Just out of interest, why does it affect the training? Surely for the same time goal both sexes would train the same way?
auburnette says: It's a function of the performance difference - e.g a 20 minute 5k is a significantly better (in WAVA terms) performance for a female than it is for a male, so likely requires a higher level of training to get there. As an individual and therefore not esp auburnette says: Oops, fat fingers. I meant to say: as an individual and therefore not an especially useful example, I have a male friend of the same age who I can beat when I'm training hard and he's not doing much, but as soon as he trains consistently he is significant auburnette says: ...ly faster than me again. Doing his training wouldn't help me achieve my goals even if we have the same target time because for me they are more of a stretch. tipsku says: Agreed, men and women don't respond to training in the same way. We already have the adjusted marathon calculator for men and women based on their HM time. I tend to train differently compared to my male team mates to achieve the same times. |
FEATURE 1485MazHCan I set my own bike uploads to ebike as standard? I currently change the category, but sometimes forget. - - - maybe related to kit?
GimmeMedals says: Also, I'd like to set my swimming upload to "pool" as a default
Angus Clydesdale says: Also, can we have default kit added to categories (eg my mountain bike kit defaults to Bike-MTB |
FEATURE 1484Bowman 🇸🇪Can you give a little more room to the numbers on the different activities on the “people page” I don’t think you have to truncate the numbers that much? There is space to have them on one row. Even on the phone. |
FEATURE 1481HeinzsterI would like to see the potential total which could have been achieved in Trader, assuming perfect selling and buying. This would be fine as total mileage run by all tradable runners since the game began. |
FEATURE 1478MsGMore Conquercise lawn badges please! There are several people with lawns over 1000 zones. It would be nice to set new goals to achieve. |
FEATURE 1472allmatthewTracking blogs linked to races. Is there a feature whereby we could get a notification every time someone blogs about a particular race?
Reiver says: You could just visit the Race page and view all the blogs that have been linked to that event.
allmatthew says: That's what I do currently. It definitely easy for me to do keep doing that but I was being lazy and wondered if there could be a 'race blog follow' button instead! |
FEATURE 1470bigleggyI use the site daily. So how about a Habit Tracker to encourage good habits (see the Fetch Can forum thread) People trying to create/form better habits could track their progress the Site. Fetch could create badges to encourage people form new habits |
FEATURE 1467SighA series of badges for 'most races' fetcheveryone.com/league-mostraces.php (e.g. 50 HM's, or 500 total races, etc) |
FEATURE 1466RooAPace bands for cross-training? Obviously adjustable so can be matched by individual user to the particular type of cross training... (apologies if this is already an option but I can only see them for the Big Four activities.) |
FEATURE 1465srhClub: Race Standards per person per year It would be great to see what Race Standard each Club member has achieved in a particular year on the Club page (just encouraged my club to sign up to see what Race Standard they can achieve this year...)
srh says: like the recent redesign of the Club Bests page, would also be good if there was a "year" filter to select individual years
|
FEATURE 1464Bowman 🇸🇪I would like to be able to re-sort and rename your own shortcuts. Just a "Nice to have" i know, but still |
FEATURE 1463Bowman 🇸🇪On yearly page with spark lines, kan we have an other graph with normal bars for all the years as well? Or is that somewhere else that i haven't found? |
FEATURE 1460boyband6666On the training graphs (which should also feed to race analyser), a chance to set your own x-axis, for heart rate (I want 100-180), and pace. At the moment it truncates too much e.g. much faster paces, and focusses on the middle

FEATURE 675ZenTaoPlurp'Injuries' page: I'd like to be able to edit when the injury commenced - rather than it being the date that it's first input. Aches aren't always obvious as injuries until they persist. It would be useful to track from the actual occurrence date.
ZenTaoPlurp says: There's a date input box when the injury is first entered - ignore all after 'Injuries'.
ZenTaoPlurp says: After further thought, the ability to change the date on which an injury commenced would still be really useful. gwowen says: Agreed. I'd like to be able to add an injury history at one time, and set dates for how it was PeteFastFeet says: Also edit the injury title tipsku says: Agreed, I didn't think of logging my Achilles tendon irritation until a couple of months later. FEATURE 674iwaswillWSW / New? Capture the flag, flag is placed on grid same as WSW. Flag captured and moved on an activity. Points scored time held and captures, bonus for holding flag at the end Game ends after a period of time maybe a week, most points?
chunkywizard says: Fecthpoint has various things like this ie relays and trafficlights. Not sure this adds anything new
iwaswill says: I am right in thinking fetchpoint can only be played by those near you, as I liked the WSW style of playing wherever you are, but maybe other features are too close. ![]() Bright Strider says: Iwaswill, no there is a single league table for Fetchpoint. The total is a rolling 30 day one, which is a great idea. It limits potential for obsession, but also keeps going. JCB says: I believe iwaswill is requesting a game like WSW in a grid, with the game being capture the flag. This sounds great and could even involve teams. |
FEATURE 671Alice the CamelTreasure Hunt : a specific gallery for the monthly treasure hunt photos. Allow the monthly list provider to choose their favourite photo and award a badge.
MazH says: Be less samey stuff in the general gallery too

FEATURE 669FunkyPOMFetch Trumps - it includes a rank but it'd be good to show a league table, including a list of those who've completed it
chunkywizard says: and a badge! (bit obsessed with badegs at the moment - they are the new race medal!)

Dave W says: Everything is self reported. You could have your Garmin in your car while you drive round. chunkywizard says: Good point Dave! Nellers says: I'm confused. If I lied about my press ups (which I dont and wouldn't by the way) would that stop someone else getting a badge for their real press ups? Didn't think so. |
FEATURE 661Steve NordRunnerKit list: ability to have more than one kit list, e.g., for those who live in two places and have two sets of kit, or those who do different sports and have multiple independent sets |
FEATURE 660chunkywizardFetch Miles: When building a Fetch Mile from an activity have a button to take you back to the activity so you can easily create another from the same activity
Bright Strider says: You can use the back button of your browser, or the history.
chunkywizard says: Yep, can do but you have to click multiple times and it’s not elegant |
FEATURE 659MisterTeaFetchpoint: Option to purchase & place a toll booth. Either fixed penalty or a % of flowers picked on the ride. Max 1 toll booth per player (only available if density=0 (no traffic lights)). Could regular commuters purchase a season ticket?
chunkywizard says: is this fair being only allowed if density=0? I believe the game is consider to be balanced at the moment independantly of density, could this skew the game if favour of density=0?
MisterTea says: If you have density=0 you never get access to any traffic lights Bright Strider says: I think that the presence of traffic lights is more to do with activity than the number of residents. MisterTea says: I don't think that's right BrightStrider Bright Strider says: Yes, if it has to be in your circle, and without the density condition. Bright Strider says: I see why you'd think that Vancouver Jogger, but my circle has six traffic lights even though my density is zero. Bright Strider says: I've voted yes, with the conditions I mentioned above. milemonster says: Could this be abused? I like the idea but what if someone got one then moved their home area and placed it on a popular route. Fetch would need to write in a code so that it can only be placed in the true 0 density area. JCB says: Density 0 is not the same as not having anyone nearby. Having someone a little ways away then enables traffic lights to show up (I’ve tested). No activities need to be logged by nearby neighbour. MisterTea says: The condition on toll booths would be that you don’t have traffic lights Bright Strider says: Thanks, JCB. Good to know. JCB says: You’re welcome BS. Good point MM. VJ, yes that makes sense. I’ve voted yes Shortcut Cam says: You used to be able to buy traffic lights but this option disappeared a few years ago for reason forgotten |
FEATURE 658GoonerBadges: badges for length of time as a Fetchie. 1 year, 5 year, 10 year etc.
No.12 says: I support this, but I did think that you would have a lot of dormant users getting badges. May be it should either be Fetch Contributor (ie either 1) made some entry on a blog or forum or logged something or 2) more controversially, a Fetch supporter for
No.12 says: that last bit was meant to read, a Fetch Supporter for x years. Gooner says: It could only be issued if there is a training log entry for 2020 to keep it to active accounts? chunkywizard says: Do badges for dormant fetchies actually matter? Maybe they will come badge and get a warm feeling encouraging them to stay? Gooner says: Fair point No.12 says: no the badges dont matter for dormant people, although you will see that it affects the "number of people awarded" badge comment for those that this matters for. I am sort of with Gooners comment response. Some sort of activity each year qualifying. But w No.12 says: but will go with the flow (my comments are truncating. Must be waffling too much!) |
FEATURE 657Bright StriderFetchpoint: Armour: halves penalties. Charger (steed/horse): +50% to points. Supercharger: doubles points. chunkywizard proposed poison to halve points gained, and oil slicks, to prevent collection of objects.
westmoors says: But only for that activity.
Bright Strider says: westmoors, only for Fetchpoint, do you mean? westmoors says: Obviously its only for Fetchpoint! I meant that boosting/reducing points/penalties only applies to the activity in which the booster/reducer markers are collected. Bright Strider says: Oh, I see. That's an interesting idea, westmoors, but Fetchpoint does not currently distinguish activities. That's not to say it couldn't, but it might involve a lot of work for Fetch. Cost vs benefit. milemonster says: I'd save my doubler for a long run! |
FEATURE 656Bright StriderFetchpoint: weekly challenge. Item or a little friend to collect. For the rest week they gain points for each day that they run with you within your circle. Found in your circle. DocM's idea. Or you could have to go and fetch it in to the circle. |
FEATURE 655Bright StriderFetchpoint: dragons (point drainers) and their hoards (jewels) to appear in uncharted (desolate) areas. Might be countered by swords-in-stones (like relays, but are carried to dragons) in church precincts.
JCB says: Nice! Sounds like a new genre of fetchpoint: fetchpointPlus

FEATURE 654Bright StriderFetchpoint: choose your super power for the week. E.g. invisible flowers, immunity to traffic lights, your bugs are always in convenient places, no bugs. There might be less desirable side effects. E.g. with the no-bugs power, no bug bonus.

FEATURE 653Bright StriderFetchpoint: make flower colour personal; randomly assigned colour initially, but resettable to one that the Fetchie likes. Inspired by chunkywizard.
NDWDave says: Could be like bugs. A colour for yours and one for everyone else
chunkywizard says: Dave that would work for me, especially if the values of them were shown without having got click on them Bright Strider says: Possible, certainly. See feature 652 for not having to click. |
FEATURE 652Bright StriderFetchpoint: show object details after a short period of mouse hovering, rather than clicking. A second or two might be a long enough wait period. Inspired by chunkywizard. |
FEATURE 650RrunnerVirtual badges based on number of fake parkruns completed ("Fakeruns"?) |
FEATURE 640mattglen_Hope this isn't a duplicate proposal, but how about notifications for when you break personal records? E.g. most miles run in a month, new record for consecutive training days etc.
mattglen_ says: Could also take it further and make it shareable to a page where fetchies can view and celebrate each others triumphs?
fetcheveryone says: Although it's not a duplicate, the badge system rewards most milestones. ishep 🇪🇺 says: I like it, but many circumstances would produce repeated notifications, like "new consecutive training days record" every day till the streak ends chunkywizard says: With streaks how about making the notifications weekly instead? |
FEATURE 638DocMmore fetchpoint badges. Maybe a target number of particular gems per month. badges for highest number of points on a day eg 200, 400, 500, 1000. number of flowers planted or owned
BarefootEm says: Amount of points from trafic lights? Getting into top 100/50/10 etc
Pothunter says: “Stealing” an 80 point traffic light? chunkywizard says: Yes please! roberton says: Not keen on traffic light ones (I've no one to play with 😥) but voted yes for more FP badges. JCB says: I don’t see traffic lights either. In a country where there are few fetchies yet great distances means no one near for 50km as the crow flies (100km by land). BarefootEm says: There is a big jump between 10k and 25k badge too |
FEATURE 635BarefootEmOn training page, a running total of your mileage for that month and year after each activity. So you can go back to any activity and see what your monthly/annual mileage was after that particular activity. |

FEATURE 607Bright StriderFetchpoint. Commuting route reward, for not driving. The commuter receives points for going through traffic lights on the commuting route. Wiggle room for necessary route changes. Perhaps one should be allowed to miss traffic lights out, on the way.
Bright Strider says: Rather than defining a commuting route, it might be simpler to define a work point, as well as a home point.
AndyS says: I think the home/work points are preferable to a specific route - back in the before-times (when I actually commuted), I'd vary rarely use the same route twice in a week, to avoid them getting stale. Bright Strider says: Thanks, AndyS. A sound idea. JCB says: Could this be based on the activity type being "Run / Commute"? Bright Strider says: Yes, and other active commute modes. Bright Strider says: Yes, and other active commute modes. |
FEATURE 602larkimMake the "Race times" and "All races" links from the "Profile" tab accessible from under the "Race" main heading, I always forget that those really good views of my own races are only viewable from looking at my own Profile
fetcheveryone says: Whoops, I accidentally closed this one off. Reinstated now.
fetcheveryone says: I think I'd aim to achieve this by offering display/grouping options on the race portfolio. |
FEATURE 599umDo you do Garmin Apps? Or know anyone who does? A garmin app that shows the distance to the nearest longitudinal and latitudinal conquersize zone borders?
AndyS says: I've dabbled a little (I built a data field that sort-of shows which WSW square you're in, although there are some precision issues). I'll add this to my list - but don't know when I'll be able to get to it.

Not sure what the issue is there as the places are South Pacific or random. fraggle says: zwift import would be great for us techno numpties ![]() Maccathecracker says: Up voted. I guess getting the badge for training in the Solomon Islands might be seen by some as a bit too virtual. Angus Clydesdale says: It’s only a game. MsG says: It doesn't import as fake god because I haven't picked up any random zones. FurryH says: you used to get badge until changed it. I just upload fit files direct to fetch from activities folder on my laptop. Its a right faff from a tablet so agree auto import would be good. Totriornottotri says: Looks like zwift locked down their API a bit when GDPR stuff came in - not to say it's impossible as it's your/our data but lots of people are asking for the same thing from what I gather. Big_G says: As a recent convert to Zwift, this would be a very good thing. fetcheveryone says: I would like to do this, but they don't appear to offer it as an option. |
FEATURE 585Could you show running shoe on the race portfolio page so that you can easily see which shoes you used for each race?
chunkywizard says: Nice idea
K5 Gus says: I think problem might be some people log more than shoes under kit - eg orthotics, bras, watch, hrm, etc and these are not classified so which piece of kit if there are multiple would be shown ? |
FEATURE 577ChrisHBMaps in Fetch - English placenames OSM users use the LAYERS menu (three squares) and select CYCLE MAP to get place names displayed in English where the local language doesn't use our alphabet (Israel for me at the moment). Good default for Fetch? |
FEATURE 576StuHTraining log: In the monthly/yearly summary at the top, have the option to show total elevation rather than elapsed time below the mileage totals. |
FEATURE 575PKIn Fetchpoint, when the flowers are harvested, can the actual word Harvested appear on the 'old' version of the Your Recent Activity page? Please. |
FEATURE 561ZenTaoPlurpProject Joker: allow the training cycle to be alterable; rather than it being fixed at a week. This would be useful for the older runner. |
FEATURE 558GordonGNew game: for races listed on Fetch that you’ve completed you get points related to distance eg 1 pt for each mile (?km) run in a 5K; 2 pts in a 10K; HM=3pts/mile, Mara=5/mile etc, with league tables over an agreed time period. Time is irrelevant. |
FEATURE 557GordonGSimilar to Feature 545, comparing hills in routes: ability to overlay the elevation of two (?or more?) routes - to the same scale - in order to compare the hilliness of routes |
FEATURE 554wootty2000Ability to import blood glucose readings from a FreeStyle LibreLink app as an overlay on existing training logs. Data is exportable as a CSV and I can provide example data |
FEATURE 548MisterTeaWSW - limit the number of breaks you can take to prevent players protecting their ranking by not playing - or lose ranking points whilst on a break
Nightjar says: Maybe deduct 2 points per break would do?
roberton says: I also like the idea of a (small) penalty for breaks. Maybe 1 pt for first week, +2 points for next week etc AndyS says: I'd be wary of penalising people who break because they're ill or injured - flu is bad enough without losing your WSW rating as well |
FEATURE 547larkimA graph to show PB consistency or lack of. I'm thinking have PBs at distances on a graph, with filters to allow all or just recent to be seen, and then extrapolating the "Reigel" prediction curve from one selected and a trend line perhaps. |
FEATURE 545Fragile Do Not BendSome sort of hilliness factor for routes, so routes of different lengths can be easily compared to see how hilly they are. The current ‘hillscore’ doesn’t appear to do this.
fetcheveryone says: Open to comments on how to achieve this
![]() Sigh says: Why not just use the ascent data? Fragile Do Not Bend says: I think it could be as simple as ascent per mile - I wanted an easy way of being able to tell if this 8 mile route was as hilly as the Beachy Head marathon, for instance westmoors says: I use the formula "(total ascent + total descent) * (max elevation - min elevation) / miles" to compare hilliness of routes. Elsie Too says: I'm only a meh because we don't have hills where I live. Gooner says: I would say it would have to include something to do with the % of the inclines too as that can obviously make a huge difference. Sam Jelfs says: Interesting, but it's not just about the total ascent / descent, but also how it is distributed. Is it a perfectly flat course except for one section of 20% incline, or is it an easy 1% all the way? Bright Strider says: Perhaps you could have rate of rate of altitude change by distance. larkim says: Is 1 climb of 500m over 5 miles more "hilly" than 5 x 100m climbs over 5 miles? Gooner says: No, but the 5 x 100 would be easier larkim says: So is there a way of mathmatically weighting big "chunks" vs small "chunks" of change? Is there any accepted rule of thumb that could be applied? westmoors says: Using 'my' formula above and larkim's examples, the single 500m climb would score 100000, and the five smaller climbs would score 20000 implying the latter is easier. larkim says: I definitely wouldn't say there was that much difference in difficulty though westmoors? Bright Strider says: I like the formula, westmoors, but you have not shown a correlation with perceived effort. Perhaps there is scope for some kind of AI? ![]() |
FEATURE 540SighWeight: please can you add 'average weight for the month' ? Current month, and somewhere to look up previous months. Thanks! |

FEATURE 332UltraboyAdd additional distances to the UTMOST game: 50k, 50 miles, 100k and 100 mile? Ultra runners do not tend to target PB's in shorter distances and adding these additional distances will mean ultra runners will stand more of a chance in that game.
MisterTea says: It also means that ultra runners will be advantaged in that few runners have run those longer distances - so if you've done a single 100 miles race you'll almost certainly have 20 points for each of those 4 distances you've mentioned no matter how fast or
JCB says: Agree with you MisterTea. Perhaps there could be an UTMOST Ultra edition then? Badger says: I voted yes but this seems a good point. It's worth mentioning that not everyone runs marathons either, or even halves, and in my current division, there are about 4 marathon scores and the person with 20 is about to be relegated. anthonyj89 is at the top Badger says: of the whole game, 1st in Div 1, with no marathon time. So I don't think adding one extra distance at the top would ruin the game, though I would agree that four extra distances would skew things too much. IanS says: On the other hand not many ultra runners race more than a few times a year, whereas you could bash out a half every couple of weeks if you wanted ![]() Badger says: Only the best one in the last year counts though - quality over quantity ![]() says: Maybe if it only counts 1 best score from any of marathon and above, as 1 of your 5.
