FEATURE 1483GregPCan we have commas in the post numbers? So GreP 123456 would be 123,456? Only if it's really easy like? |
FEATURE 1481HeinzsterI would like to see the potential total which could have been achieved in Trader, assuming perfect selling and buying. This would be fine as total mileage run by all tradable runners since the game began. |
FEATURE 1478MsGMore Conquercise lawn badges please! There are several people with lawns over 1000 zones. It would be nice to set new goals to achieve. |
FEATURE 1476BarefootEmA new virtual challenge for elevation - climb the height of Everest, with 20 points along the way that are the heights of other famous mountains, or highest point in Europe or America, or Wales etc |
FEATURE 1472allmatthewTracking blogs linked to races. Is there a feature whereby we could get a notification every time someone blogs about a particular race?
Reiver says: You could just visit the Race page and view all the blogs that have been linked to that event.
allmatthew says: That's what I do currently. It definitely easy for me to do keep doing that but I was being lazy and wondered if there could be a 'race blog follow' button instead! |
FEATURE 1471Oscar the GrouchCould trail runs default to trail as the surface, please? |
FEATURE 1470bigleggyI use the site daily. So how about a Habit Tracker to encourage good habits (see the Fetch Can forum thread) People trying to create/form better habits could track their progress the Site. Fetch could create badges to encourage people form new habits |
FEATURE 1467SighA series of badges for 'most races' fetcheveryone.com/league-mostraces.php (e.g. 50 HM's, or 500 total races, etc) |
FEATURE 1466RooAPace bands for cross-training? Obviously adjustable so can be matched by individual user to the particular type of cross training... (apologies if this is already an option but I can only see them for the Big Four activities.) |
FEATURE 1465srhClub: Race Standards per person per year It would be great to see what Race Standard each Club member has achieved in a particular year on the Club page (just encouraged my club to sign up to see what Race Standard they can achieve this year...)
srh says: like the recent redesign of the Club Bests page, would also be good if there was a "year" filter to select individual years
|
FEATURE 1464Bowman 🇸🇪I would like to be able to re-sort and rename your own shortcuts. Just a "Nice to have" i know, but still |
FEATURE 1463Bowman 🇸🇪On yearly page with spark lines, kan we have an other graph with normal bars for all the years as well? Or is that somewhere else that i haven't found? |
FEATURE 1460boyband6666On the training graphs (which should also feed to race analyser), a chance to set your own x-axis, for heart rate (I want 100-180), and pace. At the moment it truncates too much e.g. much faster paces, and focusses on the middle
fetcheveryone says: Can you provide an example URL, so I know which graphs please?
boyband6666 says: fetcheveryone.com/training-home.php and see "Pace Percentages Run" for example, but heart rate also applies. Settings should also carry through for fetcheveryone.com/training-analysis-graphs.php boyband6666 says: A good place to put them would be fetcheveryone.com/training-controlpanel.php where you can set the number of weeks it looks over and the rolling average period. Having min/max HR and pace to show here would be 4 boxes, and coudl be auto, but HappyG(rrr) says: I also have training entries where the y axis goes wrong, doesn't seem to show the bottom especially. If I find one I'll send it as feedback Fetch? ![]() |
FEATURE 1459ChrisHBAbility to add a picture to the gallery via copy & paste. |
FEATURE 1458SnailTo add Walking times to Utmost ie so becomes a combined "Walking and Running" set of times. Logic being for most makes little difference but for those who have walked distances that we haven't run, would recognise as our best time for that distance |
FEATURE 1457cackleberryPlease could we have the training infographic, the one for an individual entry, in a more printer friendly format? The background on the current, otherwise fabulous, one is all black. |
FEATURE 1452DWhen using the search function could the results list in most resent result first please? Or at least have that as an option?
fetcheveryone says: Can I get an example please? There are various searches - I want to make sure I'm looking in the right place.
D says: so if i click the search bar at the top of the page, and search for something in threads. the dates tend to be a little random. that said when i've just checked they don't seem too bad so it may be what i've been searching for/ try beginners and it gives HappyG(rrr) says: Or Feature 192 - all searches, parameterised, with selectable sort orders! ![]() ![]() HappyG(rrr) says: I mean single search, for all things, not all searches. fetcheveryone says: What if the most recent one is not as relevant? Bright Strider says: Perhaps have the three most relevant results, then the first 10 most recent. Search further back on request. |
FEATURE 1451SighTraining, graphs: please can we have a stacked bar chart showing all weekly training; one by distance and another for hours; colours as selected for the training type? (a bit like the Garmin 'monthly total distance' graph only better). Thanks! |
FEATURE 1450HobieAdd something so swimmers can keep track of their best times over distances in different strokes. I'd like to keep an eye on my back, breast, fly and IM times as well as front crawl. Those slow breast stroke PBs are still PBs |
FEATURE 1447PAJ89On the Monthly Summary graphic, add an option to generate it with your Heart Rate zones instead of your Pace zones. Very useful option for anyone training by HR primarily (Maffetone, Uphill Athlete, 80/20 principle, etc).
Bowman 🇸🇪 says: Yes! Good one!
|
FEATURE 1445One Thousand Odd SpidersCan the 'related threads' box be updated to include an active marker/date of last post metric? |
FEATURE 1444Bowman 🇸🇪Could we have the possibility to choose week to, on the Heart Rate Analysis page? |
FEATURE 1442CrispByNature 🇬🇧Add rock climbing locations to the poi map fetcheveryone.com/poi.php |
FEATURE 1431theOtherRichardRace subtitle Some races are part of a series, but move within that series eg Harborough 5 - shorturl.at/nouNX and shorturl.at/jrIRT - so they aren't grouped. A subtitle would allow the extra jnfo (series number) but still keep the group facility
Sigh says: I also think we need a second field for races like this; my request # 311 was for something similar (for the North Staffs league).
StuH says: Doesn't the description field fulfill this? e.g. fetcheveryone.com/races/ldwa-100-5234063 theOtherRichard says: Yes, Stu. It probably does. Or certainly could. I'm not sure it would address Sigh's searchability request, but it could be used to address sub-titling. Sigh says: The description field is also limited to 255 characters. Fizz :-) says: One day when I’ve got time I’m going to “fix” all those EMGP races and use the description. |
FEATURE 1427GimmeMedalsNow that more people have joined UTMOST, there are more divisions. Can there be badges for promotions in the lower divisions as they currently start at Division 20 please.
fetcheveryone says: Although there are 27 divisions at present, there are 484 players...
fetcheveryone says: so once things settle down, there will be about 24 divisions... fetcheveryone says: Perhaps I'll introduce some more division badges when all the resetters have made their way up the table ![]() GimmeMedals says: Thank you 😊 westmoors says: But then we'll all have to reset again to get the lower badges ![]() fetcheveryone says: Well yes, exactly ![]() |
FEATURE 1426fetcheveryonePlay button on slider on training log entries.
RunningRonnie says: Currently I click once to bring the focus to the bar, then use the right arrow to simulate a "play". The actual play button would be useful, especially with a choice of speeds.
HappyG(rrr) says: And the map and graphs to all track together (oops, sorry, will submit as a separate feature request!) ![]() |
FEATURE 1425Dave WIn the Training Control Panel, add an option to have the graphs display for the current year. At the moment you can only pick the number of weeks, to 52 weeks in total. To keep the display from the beginning of the year I have to keep changing it. |
FEATURE 1422AkkersThere are some races which I don’t want to appear in PB listings. Though just because I don’t, I appreciate other people might. It would be good if the user could choose whether they appear or not (rather than set at race level).
Akkers says: E.g: on holiday next month, I plan to do the Stroud Beer Race 7.2km. I don’t really want that appear this to appear in my bests because I will probably not return nor ever find a race of that distance again – whereas I like to have the opportunity to
Akkers says: ...beat my PBs at some stage in the future. |
FEATURE 1421MsGFacility to switch off displaying reader numbers off on one's blog. Sometimes it can be off putting seeing numbers go down. Or indeed up! I try not to look at it on my blog but hiding it would be better. |
FEATURE 1420PeggCould we have a graph over time that shows what UTMOST league we were in and when? |
FEATURE 1419James15On the training leagues, when you select 'following' can it please include yourself. |
FEATURE 1418PeggWhen looking at public routes it would be really useful to be able to filter to see just the circular routes. Currently I have to click on each individual route to see if it comes back to the start or if it's linear |
FEATURE 1416♪♫ Synge ♪♫Photos: It would be good to know which of my photos in "Your Photos" I have used on the site, eg in a blog or a thread. I want to tidy up but don't want to risk deleting any that appear elsewhere. Any chance of a flag to show those that are in use?
um says: Next you'll be wanting to know where they're used
![]() Bright Strider says: An alternative is for the system to delete photos that are not in use. For example, after three months since being added but not having been used. Perhaps a yearly check for others, to see if they are still in use. |
FEATURE 1413MandymooCan we please have some badges for paddleboarding and kayaking 😁 |
FEATURE 1409larkimA "niggle tracker". Not an injury (so you don't get the green cross next to training logs), but just somewhere to record those annoying niggles which may persist and either disappear, or flare up, or come and go.
fetcheveryone says: I use the injury tracker for this.
larkim says: It was the addition of the green medical cross against training entries that puts me off. Nearly all of my training would be injury linked if I use it like that! |
FEATURE 1407Dave WIn the training log graphs, which are great, but everything is about "weekly". Could there also be graphs included for "Monthly" totals? Just go with calendar months?
Dave W says: Sorry.. Rude of me.. "Please", "Thank you"..
|
FEATURE 1406CogNoscensme AHAFilter route of the day pics by user so I can see mine as a set. |
FEATURE 1401anyonebutmattPlease could the new cross training colour scheme also be added for use in the training plan section rather than just the training log? |
FEATURE 1398WAHello. Please could we have a pesterers and lazybones group again? Thank you ![]()
Ness says: Gets my vote!
RichHL says: Isn't there a thread for this? fetcheveryone says: Rich - yes, there's a thread, but the automation was based on groups, which are RIP. |
FEATURE 1391One Thousand Odd SpidersCould we have a toggle (either per thread or site wide) to show thread reads by 'most-recent-at-the-top'?
fetcheveryone says: Can you explain what this means please? I'm being thick
![]() One Thousand Odd Spiders says: . One Thousand Odd Spiders says: Sorry - just meant that could we have a control to allow us to view each thread with the posts arranged Newest at the top of the page, down to Oldest at the bottom |
FEATURE 1386minardiRe MotM interviews. How about a comments section at the bottom of the interview once it's been published - just in case someone wants clarification on an answer or would want to add a question or just comment in general |
FEATURE 1385roflahertyWould it be possible to dig into your journey on the virtual challenge, and be able to see all your stop points along the way? Thinking it might be fun to track your progress that way too. |
FEATURE 1384RunningRonnieWSW - In settings, you can select a pre-saved map position. Can we have a bit of text to say which pre-saved position we are currently using before we change it please? |
FEATURE 1381larkimAdd the ability somewhere to click on a "head to head against me" button to show races where a selected Fetchie has been in the same race as you.
Gobi says: You can do this on Run Britain
larkim says: And I do - just nicking their good idea on a more localised fetch basis HappyG(rrr) says: Quite fun looking at your Run Britain ranking head to head too. We could maybe do WAVA % head to head and stuff. Don't worry Fetch, I'll put it in as a separate feature request! ![]() larkim says: The only problem with RunBritain is that it doesn't display fetch aliases 🤣 and not everyone has a profile on there if they're not uka registered |
FEATURE 1380VelociraptorMore Rundle badges please, now that the game is established. Could we have badges for collecting your first digit, making your first guess, and collecting all 10 digits in one day as well as for making the winning guess?
panad says: Maybe a few for X winning guesses as well?
stubiedoo says: I do like a good badge geordiegirl says: What is not to like here. We love badges we do chunkywizard says: What a good idea! 😁 royal jelly says: Gets my gold! um says: Need an 'assist' badge, eg for a guess within 2, or 3 of the right answer? JCB says: Badges for collecting a sequence of digits, such as 3 in a row, six in a row, ten in a row (starting at 0?) geordiegirl says: Yes to more badges please chunkywizard says: 8 gold now... chunkywizard says: Upto 10 gold |
FEATURE 1378FunkyPOMXtraining. I've done a few things lately (golf/tennis) that I want to count towards my walking/running stats but if I categorise them as golf/tennis they don't get included. Might be tricky to implement but would be good for moving xtraining to count
Flatlander says: Add 2 traiing entries? One for the golf, the other for the distance walked?
AndyS says: Is that what they mean when they say "Golf is a good walk spoiled"? 😝 Steve NordRunner says: Running golf or speed golf is already a thing. Maybe add a category under Running called Speedgolf? |
FEATURE 1377HappyG(rrr)Automatically list all links mentioned in a thread (side bar or a tab or link), possibly with a link back to the page on thread that it was posted (for context). Threads generate great external information sources, but hard to find as page moves on.
Flatlander says: Pin the posts with links in them so you can find them again?
MsG says: The list could get quite long depending on the topic? I agree with Flatlander but I guess a drawback is if you come to a thread when it's been going awhile you might not want to hunt through the pages. HappyG(rrr) says: Thanks both. Yes, I do use Pin sometimes, but that's if it's a thread I'm already following, if it's one I come to new, then that's quite a hunt. The length of the list wouldn't matter, if it was in a different tab, you would just scroll down it as far as HappyG(rrr) says: ... it as far as you wanted, like the training log etc. Anyway, we'll see what Fetch-lad says if and when it bubbles up. If you have ever used Teams or Slack or any of these community tools, they tend to pull out files or links from chats, so you can easi um says: Does searching the thread for http and www solve this? HappyG(rrr) says: That's a brilliant suggestion um, yes, it does. So literally just a tab that did exactly that would meet the feature request. In meantime, I shall employ this search. Thanks! ![]() |
FEATURE 1376Bowman 🇸🇪Add possibility to use bold and cursive and so on to Training notes. |
FEATURE 1375GoofeeAbility to add swimrun events as a sequence of multiple swims and runs (ie Swim 1, Run 1, Swim 2, Run 2 etc.) rather than just the total swim and run distances. |
FEATURE 1374DillthedogOn the Train>targets page you have “logged xmi of running this year. Today's break-even is xmi. To hit your target, run xmi/week”.Can you please add an extra bit that shows what your projected mileage would be if you continue to run at the same rate? |
FEATURE 1372EvilPixieon swims can we have a moving time average pace?
Hobie says: Yes please! This will make a big difference for most of my swim sessions
|
FEATURE 1369AndySConquercise: On the training entry screen, when the Conquercise grid is active, highlight which zones that activity has scored in.
chunkywizard says: I believe this is a dup and Fetch said they are now shown on the plot a route page.
AndyS says: Added at Fetch's request. I'd prefer not to have to save every training entry as a route, and the switch page, to see where it scores. |
FEATURE 1366BarefootEmBadges - compare your badge list to another user, so you can see what they have that you don't and visa versa |
FEATURE 1363Bowman 🇸🇪On the page year on year tracker, can you add, “xxx ahead last year” I know you can see on this day last year, but thought you can add more specific in the text. Cheers! |
FEATURE 1362AndersSchmAdd ability to filter activities by recording device/watch - allows you to identify rogue data to be deleted when Garmin Connect syncs a friends activities onto your account. Other potential uses as well for people with multiple watches/devices. |
FEATURE 1361SteveBelfastBadges, instead of showing the first 30 claimants, show the last 30.
BarefootEm says: I'd be interested in a toggle function, show one or the other
|
FEATURE 1355James15Have a tool which shows at what point in previous years did I hit the distance I am currently on.
Bowman 🇸🇪 says: Can’t you see that in year on year graph?
|
FEATURE 1354JK *chameleon*When using the quote function in the forums, retain the formatting of the original including spoiler tags, icons, and end of lines. |
FEATURE 1352RosehipWould it be possible to have an “ignore HR data from this file” option ? One really dodgy trace (like mine today) can make a mess of any trends and % calculations.
paul the builder says: Tremendously annoying when this happens. I think only the average HR number is used anywhere, so I just make a manual correction to it (you could also delete that number too).
Rosehip says: Thanks Paul, that’s useful to know if that is the case |
FEATURE 1351SighOn the blog page, can we have a daily blog streak counter next to the person's name? |
FEATURE 1350roflahertyCould it be possible to sync activities logged in Samsung Health directly to Fetch? |
FEATURE 1346sparkclarkeAdd an average heart rate column to the 'your training week summary' in summary and analysis. I'd really love to be able to gauge weekly heart rate changes within the weekly summary as well as the monthly one. |
FEATURE 1343FunkyPOMTraining. Can we have a category for freedom parkrun please. I've done quite a few in the last few weeks and I can't bring myself to categorising them as parkrun as they're not official
larkim says: Or maybe feature 1339 so you could self serve that?
Bright Strider says: You could name them as 'freedom parkrun'. |
FEATURE 1342SighI'd like a simple infographic which shows all-time total distance for a discipline, which I can use to share the achievement elsewhere (e.g. I reached 7000 running miles today); if it also had duration, elevation etc it would add a 'wow' factor. |
FEATURE 1339larkimCreate a small number of "custom" options for run / ride / swim etc types that fetchies can rename to their hearts content. So e.g. Custom 1 I could name "family run" and Custom 2 "parkrun as part of long run". Maybe 5 for each category?
StuH says: #tags?
![]() larkim says: Doesn't quite do what I'd like though, e.g. forming part of totals view on training log. Tags are OK for some things and I use plenty of them, but this would be the icing on cake for me fetcheveryone says: I am more likely to go with improving the tag searching tbh. larkim says: Fair enough, though I do like the idea of a few custom options. The absence of multi-tag filtering and the ability to summarise based on tags are what let tags down for me at the mo. SPR says: Would need some way of easily clearing unwanted tags as well. There seems to be loads auto created for me shanksi says: I'd go for a complete overhaul of the categorising system if it was up to me. There are too many specialist categories for niche groups so it might make sense to have a completely customisable category system or an expanded tagging ability. geordiegirl says: I like this one would be good to categories those runs that you want to identify separately njosmith says: @SPR you can edit tags here. https://www.fetcheveryone.com/training-tag.php. click on a tag and there is an option to delete that tag SPR says: To confirm I knew you could delete an individual tag but when the feature was created years ago, multiple auto tags were created and if you'd ever added notes to your training random words became tags. So there were too many to deal with one by one. Fetch SPR says: Fetch sorted my issue for me. |
FEATURE 1336NightjarReduce the number of recent tags on the training pages. It fills half my screen and I certainly haven't used more than a few recently. Limit 10? Ta.
cackleberry says: I find the opposite, my less frequent tags disappear!
|
FEATURE 1334RosehipIf creating a training plan by time rather than distance, please can we have a weekly total hours in the right hand column and an equivalent hourly graph thingy at the top? |
FEATURE 1333SampsonRemember locked / unlocked status on training plan |
FEATURE 1332Bowman 🇸🇪Change sorting of days on pressup counter. Then you se last days reps/sets first.
Bowman 🇸🇪 says: Shouldent thes be a easy one to do, and i dont really understand the votes against or Meh?
chunkywizard says: Meh are from people that don't log press-ups Bowman 🇸🇪 says: I wonder about the need for Meh, and how the yes/Meh/now gets used? Bowman 🇸🇪 says: I guess no and meh sometimes are used in the same way, Also do people really rather scroll all the way down to se if your input has been done ![]() chunkywizard says: I think No is just a more forceful Meh. For me Meh says 'sounds reasonable but I wouldn't use it where as No is 'don't waste you time, why would anyone need that!' ![]() Bowman 🇸🇪 says: Sound reasonable, ![]() |
FEATURE 1331umMy Routes - in addition to #1329. Can you add date added (or last done?) to the data displayed and also allow an option to sort by date?
SailorSteve says: There’s a list of when you’ve done any of your routes at the bottom of each route’s page which can be sorted by date or time taken. Not sure if this is what you mean um?
um says: Hi SS, No, I meant on the initial listing of all routes SailorSteve says: 👍 fetcheveryone says: This information isn't stored, so if this happens it would only be for future routes, not old ones. |
FEATURE 1330GimmeMedalsOn the training plan, be able to add events (eg being on holiday/going to a wedding) to help plan ahead and avoid long runs on days when there is a significant event that might affect training plans.
Bright Strider says: Synchronise with iOS or Android calendar, perhaps.
Sigh says: You can add "Cross-Other" or "Cross-Rest" and then add more detail in the description. GimmeMedals says: I've ended up doing that Sigh but had to add it for each day. To add an event that runs from xx to xx would be easier - like the IOS calendar. GimmeMedals says: Good idea, BS. EvilPixie says: Was about to ask this! |
FEATURE 1327DrDanOption for distances being miles for running but meters/km for swimming.
Drell says: Or indeed specific for any form of exercise - no need for walking and running to be the same, for instance
|
FEATURE 1326DrDan |
FEATURE 1325minardiCan we have a 'murky' in the precipitation section in Training ? |
FEATURE 1324NightjarWould it be possible to enhance/clean up swim splits written into the comments? Can you get the stroke? It would be nice if the rest splits of 0m were replaced with a simpler "rest 29s 114/123bpm" instead of 2) 0m - 29(0/m) 114/123bpm [INFb/mi]
Hobie says: Second this. If I had to pick one change, seeing the stroke/drill would be very helpful. Happy to provide some files from individual medley training for testing purposes.
|
FEATURE 1323HappyG(rrr)Suggest A Thread! On the Forum page - threads you might like. Based on threads you have contributed to, or just read (if Fetch keeps track of that), maybe making use of the "tags" - just bring "related threads" from some of the threads been on? ![]() |
FEATURE 1322Bowman 🇸🇪Add pressups, if they exist in the counter/user account, to infographics. |
FEATURE 1321Bowman 🇸🇪Add pressups to your account as well add the counter, so you get the history saved.
Bowman 🇸🇪 says: *from the counter I meant.
|
FEATURE 1320GimmeMedalsCan "Team Body Project" be added to cross training categories please. There are programs to follow and they cover different types of exercise so to be able to log them all under this umbrella would be great for looking at progress over time.
StuH says: Tags?
GimmeMedals says: I do add tags but each session can have a few elements so I don't know what category to put it under. |
FEATURE 1318SighThe option to have alerts when someone posts a new feature request (which can be turned on or off in Settings). |
FEATURE 1317Steve NordRunnerTraining: add category under Running called «as-transport». This is for use when you run instead of use motorised transport, like a taxi to fetch a car after a party, bus to collect a car from the garage.
FurryH says: Err walking/running are forms of transport?
Steve NordRunner says: Yes, that's the idea - for when your run as a form of transport from a to b, as opposed to running for fitness or a related purpose. JCB says: Would run/commute suffice? Steve NordRunner says: Thanks for pointing that one out. It could be thought of as overlapping, certainly Sigh says: I'd use a tag for this. No.12 says: The same would be useful for walking StuH says: Agree with Sigh, #tags ♪♫ Synge ♪♫ says: Agree, especially useful after taking car to garage or to fetch car from garage (but what about while waiting for service to be carried out?! ![]() SPR says: Commute already exists as a run category RichHL says: I just use Commute for this. Pegg says: Garmin has the term 'transportation' for this which I use quite a lot |
FEATURE 1314FlyingScotsmanA 12 Days of Fetchmas Cross training category please.
chunkywizard says: There are loads of categories you could you for this already IMHO
StuH says: #tags |
FEATURE 1313FlyingScotsmanA way to tag a whole thread (as in all the watchers) instead of having to tag everyone, or hope everyone sees it. This is with Fetchmas in mind especially
HappyG(rrr) says: This used to be possible through "Groups" You could send a message to everyone in the group? But maybe people Watch but wouldn't Join Group?
![]() |
FEATURE 13123M (aka MarkyMarkMark)On the button that adds a "Pic" to a training session, can there be an option to use an existing pic you've uploaded rather than having to upload it a 2nd time? Or for the link to the pic [ImageNNN] to work in the "Additional Notes" field instead?
Autumnleaves says: And vice versa - can a pic added to training have an option to go to gallery?
chunkywizard says: a similar thing happens with ac=vatars, you need to upload the pic again which is a pain if you change your avatar regularly |
FEATURE 1311Alice the CamelMake the Points of Interest map easier to locate, especially as it now features food/drink places as well as OWS locations. At the moment, you need to know to go to Train>Swim>Openwater to find it.
Alice the Camel says: Ah, just spotted it’s called The Breakfast Club on the Homepage! Doh!
|
FEATURE 1309halfpintCan we have a ‘services to the fetch community’ badge or another way of recognising those who make a significant contribution. I’m thinking of the likes of FlyingScotsman for giving us the 12 Days of Fetchmas, and those who organise secret Santa etc
halfpint says: Apologies if this already exists.
LindsD says: Yes! ITG for organising MOTM interviews LindsD says: Taggers HappyG(rrr) says: Isn't that sort of what MotM is for? I know some have already won it, but is there a need for "further recognition"? Hmmm. I suppose there's no harm in having lots of types of recognition. Celebrate success and contribution and all that? ![]() |
FEATURE 1308SerendippilyAs well as setting annual distance targets, could we set annual wava targets, ideally covering training and races, and different races, including 100, 400, 800, mile for the jingle milers? And a “best week ever” wava version? That would be super
Sigh says: I like this, great idea!
GimmeMedals says: This is a great idea. GimmeMedals says: This is a great idea. |
FEATURE 1307FunkyPOMFor yearly 'Targets', can we add 'Hours' please?
HappyG(rrr) says: Think there is a duplicate for this one (quite hard to find though. I'll have a search!)
![]() HappyG(rrr) says: FEATURE 432 Sigh Looking ahead to when we set our training targets for 2020, in addition to the options for Run / Bike / Swim / Walk, can we also have an option for "Hours" please? (Variant to Feat.#319) Possibly 2 duplicates!! ![]() Dave W says: Most X-trai ning doesn't involve miles, just time spent. I think this would be a good target to be able to set. |
FEATURE 1306LizzleIn training plans, the ability to drag a session that is in the past into the future, or at least view what the session was supposed to be. I sometimes miss a session and then can't go back to see what I had planned.

FEATURE 780fetcheveryoneTrack any aspect of how you're feeling, with a simple 1-10 score. So you could track how you're feeling about eating, drinking, sleep, exercise, family, work, happiness - choose your own labels, and update as often as you like.
jennyh says: Love this idea Fetch!
FurryH says: I have an app for this already. Very useful for monitoring mental health. boyband6666 says: It's supposed to be one of the best predictors of many things, from injuries, etc. Having a validated questionaire built in would be amazing, as then I'd do it BarefootEm says: I think this has the potential for incredible help. Could it be possible to have the individual 1-10's private, but the option to have your overall 'how you are feeling' visible on your profile? Maybe in the form of an emoji? So if someone is looking at a BarefootEm says: Profile they are able to see a Fetchie is feeling a 3 today, and can send a virtual hug if they want to? But they don't need to know the detail? jennyh says: I like that idea Em BarefootEm says: I'm glad it made sense Jennyh! geordiegirl says: Garming connect has added this and I love that I can put in my perceived effort and how I felt so I would love it here too esp expanded ![]() |
FEATURE 779chunkywizardHide and Seek Rule Suggestion. Freeze grid moving after the seeking starts so a seeker can not move their grid so their home is in the top corner of a current game thus allowing harder to reach areas to be more accessible.
Snoot says: Agree with this although I do have to admit to just moving the grid to my advantage 🙈
|
FEATURE 778Add Privacy Zones so that user can hide home address but still have training public as per Garmin or Strava.
Elsie Too says: How would that work - if you run from home every day and show your training it will be obvious where you live? I don't use
larkim says: larkim says: In support of mercilessly stealing their idea - it's documented here support.strava.com Rrunner says: I'd prefer the map to be made available on an activity by activity basis and still have the ability to let buddies see everything if I choose. Flatlander says: I support larkim's and Rrunner's comments Angus Clydesdale says: Where I live there’s only us so it’s pointless. I can see how it works in the city though. |
FEATURE 774BarefootEmCounty badges? For logging an activity in a different county?
ChrisHB says: ceremonial counties, not changeable administrative counties
chunkywizard says: reckon that would be a lot of work to implement. It might be good to have a badge for the set Pothunter says: Fetch has previous Pothunter says: Oops! Meant to say: previously said the GPS software he uses can’t even identify Eng, Sco, Wal, Nir so counties will be nigh on impossible I guess ChrisHB says: agree about the techical difficulies, though ChrisHB says: IIRC it is possible to work out the postcode town using post office data. JCB says: What are these things called counties? 🤣😛 ChrisHB says: the data appears to be available here geoportal.statistics.gov.uk or a page not too far away. Not ceremonial counties afaict. fetcheveryone says: It's possible, but am just concerned about the number of badges I'd have to make ![]() BarefootEm says: I'm happy to help make badges ![]() ChrisHB says: For Cheshire you can have an invisible Cheshire cat - that should be easy. BarefootEm says: I was thinking the cats smile... |
FEATURE 770ChrisHBA link from pictures in the gallery to threads & blogs where the picture is included.
Serendippily says: This may be complicated where blogs are buddies only so would link nicely with the request to “limit” the views of the pic when it links to a private blog
um says: Or a search for the [image ref] as an enhanced blog/thread search? |
FEATURE 768milemonsterFetchpoint: diamonds that can only be picked up by running over them. This should help level the field. I can't seem to get into the top 10 with just running. Everyone in the top 10 is cycling so it feels like a cycling competition at the moment.
Sampson says: All gems could be for runners/walkers/swimmers(?) only. Most of the leaders have relatively few points from gems.
Bright Strider says: When cycling, I tend not to take footpaths, on which tokens do appear. I also run, and this provides an opportunity to collect those tokens. Nonrunners will find such tokens less appealing. MisterTea says: The top players have hardly any gem points so won't make much difference. MisterTea says: 13 out of the top 15 have more flower points than my highest ever score. The only way to balance it up is to do something with flowers JCB says: Anyone interested in flowers, I made a suggestion about them being dropped at different rates: fetcheveryone.com/featurerequests-open.php?sort=id#feature194 Drell says: I agree that flowers are where change might help Heinzster says: Flowers drop every 5 minutes? That way faster cyclists would plant flowers much further apart. Badger says: The every 5 minutes idea is a good one I think |
FEATURE 758NessIs there any possibility of adding a tag to people’s faces in your photos in the gallery. If you could highlight who people are and link their Fetch nickname. I think it be nice for when there are ‘Fetch Mile’ meet-ups and when we meet up at races. |
FEATURE 756RunningRonnieNested kit; kit that is always used together could be nested under the main piece. For example, tyres and bike shoes under road bike. The tyres can be retired and replaced at any point. The bike shoes can be nested under mountain bike as well.
Bright Strider says: How about default kit set for the activity?
RunningRonnie says: You can already do that Bright Strider ![]() Angus Clydesdale says: Not completely. I asked ages ago if we could have different default kit for different activity sub-sets (MTB, Road Bike, Commuting Bike etc). Hasn’t happened yet. CogNoscensme AHA says: With you on that AC. I suppose I only need to log shoes and tyres but I keep logging all my kit anyway and default by subset would really help. |
FEATURE 752Elsie TooIf the fetch app can't save your training to you training log when you click save - have it keep the training until it can load to the training log, rather than lose the training.
Serendippily says: I stopped using the fetch app because I lost entries so often
|
FEATURE 751Elsie TooFix the pause button on the fetch app - I thought this would already be a request but I can't find it |
FEATURE 750azxSync weight data from Garmin Health I have a withings scale but sync the data from that to my Garmin account. It would be good to be able to sync Garmin data automatically to FE
chunkywizard says: Same here, it would be nice to have that data n FE but I am not sure it is possible
azx says: Says so here: developer.garmin.com chunkywizard says: Good link, the FAQs are here and it looks ok developer.garmin.com Sigh says: I have a Garmin Index scale, and manually add here every day. Looking at the FAQs it looks like steps, sleep etc can also be synced, which are in other feature requests. azx says: I see there's an API to do this fetcheveryone.com/api-doc.php . I actually import from withings use a script and upload it to garmin. Guess I could just upload it here too chunkywizard says: it would be nice to have it invisibly automated though! ishep 🇪🇺 says: Withings is also on IFTTT, so that might be a quick and easy way of Fetch implementing a direct(ish) import from Withings cerid says: This would be a real boon for those of us currently frightened of scales |
FEATURE 749IT GRANNY 🇮🇸A badge for being the first to get a badge. (I'm only suggesting this to get the feature request badge. Going to need a bigger swimsuit soon.)
chunkywizard says: As I haven’t been first to get a badge I’m going to have to vote no! You were first to get Ocho, weren’t you?
IT GRANNY 🇮🇸 says: Yes, and I suspect a coupe of country badges |
FEATURE 748bishBadges for earning badges - for example "100 Badges" Badge!?
chunkywizard says: gets my vote!
ishep 🇪🇺 says: Badgeception! cerid says: That means you can’t have 100 badges. Badge 101 does sound cool though Ocelot Spleens says: superb idea. meta. |
FEATURE 745ftrobbieWSW - To get more people involved and to make multiplayer games last 1 less week. Is it feasible to run multiple multiplayer games ala Premiership (top 64), championship (next 64), League 1, League 2 etc.
ftrobbie says: It reduces the multiplayer game cycle by a week and starts the competition of needing to own squares rather than the number you go through closer to the competiton start. It then also maintains the competitive element to qualifying.
ishep 🇪🇺 says: This was posited by Fetch when he was first designing multi. Don't know if it was ever ruled out or just shelved Gooner says: I like that idea, gets more people into another part of the game for longer. Snail says: Sounds good. Makes the event seeded so would give more people a chance |
FEATURE 743ftrobbieIn Fetchpoint can we have the daily activity results shown in the same order day to day, rather than in the order they were activated |
FEATURE 742JuuphyFetch Miles - Fastest Bikers - split into 3 separate tables based on the gradient of the mile covered - Uphill, Flat(ish), Downhill. Having just one table rewards creating steep downhill miles, rather than cycling harder.
Pothunter says: Didn’t the orange place prevent segments on downhills for safety reasons?
chunkywizard says: sounds sensible Gooner says: It may say it does, but it does not. |
FEATURE 741iRiceyIn Fetchpoint, when clicking on one's infected bugs, the pop-up displays who has infected it, allowing one to wreak revenge.
Gooner says: Just infect everybody else's bugs, then you cover all bases
![]() Flatlander says: This suggestion seems like encouraging vindictiveness. Bright Strider says: I'm with Flatlander on this. Let he who seeks revenge first dig two graves. One for his victim, and one for himself. |
FEATURE 728BarefootEmWhen plotting a route and using the WSWs grid, have the grid squares your route passes through become slightly opaque (or similar) something that is an easy, quick, visual aid to show how many, and which squares that particular route goes through.
PK says: That's a good shout. Would be very helpful
chunkywizard says: I think I put out a feature request thats similar to this before asking for current state of play to be overlapped BarefootEm says: Oops sorry, I did have a quick look through before hand chunkywizard says: feature 672 was mine, think its the same thing BarefootEm says: Ah yes, already up voted yours 😁 BarefootEm says: Not the same thing though, I meant opaquing the squares the route goes through, regardless of what is going on in the match that week geordiegirl says: This would have been very useful BarefootEm says: Or even add the green triangles too them? chunkywizard says: this gets my golden ticket! |
FEATURE 725BarefootEmCan we have a thumbs up button on people's training to say 'well done'?
JCB says: Even for when a comment isn’t allowed?
Naughty_nickers says: Love this ❤️ SusiesueH says: 👍🏻 BarefootEm says: I hadn't thought about that JCB, but yes, I think if you can see that someone has done some training, and what it is, it would be great to be able to say 👍 No.12 says: It's a very nice thought, barefooted, if you don't mind me saying No.12 says: (BarefootEM.. spellchecker error there JCB says: I agree with this Em. Voted yes 👏 FurryH says: I agree. (Kudos) Sigh says: Q: Do we want the thumb up to be accredited to the person giving it, or anonymous as the +1 on thread posts? BarefootEm says: Another good Q, I would prefer to see who had given me a thumbs up ![]() ishep 🇪🇺 says: Me too, plus if I was giving one, I'd want them to know who from Sigh says: same here (I have upvoted, btw!) geordiegirl says: Another yes. chunkywizard says: yep |
FEATURE 721milemonsterA separate league table for people with running only. (Says the guy who would benefit the most!).
milemonster says: Fetchpoint
DocM says: ive always wanted that Oranj says: Do you mean this: fetcheveryone.com/league-training.php milemonster says: milemonster says: No I meant a separate table for runners on fetchpoint FurryH says: The league table can be filtered to just running |
FEATURE 713Steve NordRunnerKick-scooter (electric): new exercise category under bikes. Some people actually exercise by kicking when using a powered e-scooter. We already have e-bike. A user can tell by heart rate whether there is any useful exercise being obtained. |
FEATURE 710ToBaldlyGoHi Fetch would it be possible to add Yahoo bike computers to the list that transfer data automatically? At the moment I have to enter the info from my Yahoo Elemnt Bolt manually Many thanks King Regards Mike Vowles
Bright Strider says: Yahoo -> Wahoo, I think.
|
FEATURE 707GoonerBadges - Cycle streaking badges in the same time periods as the running badges. |
FEATURE 704fetcheveryoneAllow people to (optionally) specify their real-world names alongside their nicknames, so that friends can find them.
chunkywizard says: if its optional then why not
Bright Strider says: You can put your real name in brackets in your nickname: Profile > Settings. DocM says: Is bright Striders real name "soemthing fishy"? |
FEATURE 703SampsonFetch genealogy. Each user can list (on their profile) the user who first introduced them to Fetcheveryone. Could be incentivised by badges (e.g. number of descendants).
Bright Strider says: We can describe this in our profiles.
Sampson says: True, but that wouldn't create the data necessary for gamification! rf_fozzy says: Dislike this idea as it's basically a popularity contest then and to me that's anti-fetch rf_fozzy says: Dislike this idea as it's basically a popularity contest then and to me that's anti-fetch Gus says: I found Fetch by myself! |
FEATURE 700Chris WorthersRoutes. When adding a new training entry, order the routes drop down so the most recently used routes appear first.
SailorSteve says: Or provide a ‘Sort’ option eg recent, alphabetical, miles/km
Diogenes says: What Steve said EdJ says: I've been meaning to ask for this for ages! Thanks Steve!! Pegg says: 'Sort' would be great, sometimes I want to search by name, other times by distance etc. |
FEATURE 699HappyG(rrr)WSW game - ability to look at history of each game, score by score, so you can see who go what squares in each go / training item added. ![]()
JCB says: Like stepping through a scrabble game turn by turn?
HappyG(rrr) says: Yeah JCB, that was the idea. I see a lot of folk have down voted it because they think it could be used for tactically identifying opponents routes. I hadn't even thought of that. Democracy at work! ![]() JCB says: Hmmm. That wouldn’t be a problem if everyone could access every part of their grid. I’m for both ideas! JCB says: Maybe “as big of a problem” would be more accurate. |
FEATURE 697fuzzy76Calendar feed URL per user. I'd love to have a calendar URL I could subscribe to that shows my planned training for the future and logged training for the past.
StuH says: Planned training can be exported to a calendar at the moment, but a subscription as per the race portfolio would be good.
larkim says: Agreed, I've requested this in the past. It's OK pushing out a fixed ICS, but a dynamic link like webcal:// would be a really nice way of keeping all my calendars i the same place. Or exposing the site to Google Apps Scripts where I already have an app fuzzy76 says: Unfortunately, I routinely adjust my training. Doing a manual export-import cycle every time is just not realistic for me. njosmith says: How does the race portfolio subscription work? StuH says: On the Race Portfolio page under Export Your Portfolio is a link for an .ical file. Rather than downloading the file, copy the link and subscribe (using url) with your calendar application. I use google calendars. njosmith says: Thanks larkim says: Does the Race Portfolio one mean that if I know your user ID I can access your race portfolio schedule even if I’m not logged into the site etc? ishep 🇪🇺 says: cf. #94 |
FEATURE 691SampsonCompetition badges. Creative challenges sponsored with a prize for a randomly selected finisher (and a badge for everyone else). e.g. Run every Monday morning in May to win some Mizuno. Requires optional sign-up and data giveaway. £££
Gooner says: I have gone with meh, purely because it could be a lot of work for Fetch to get sponsors, create all the bumf etc but I do like the idea.
Sampson says: I'd be doing it for the badge anyway! But I was thinking of a year-round advent calendar. westmoors says: For regular challenges with prizes try Running Heroes (uk.runningheroes.com) or Cycling Heroes (uk.cyclingheroes.com). |
FEATURE 688SighClubs: Generally improve and enhance the clubs section so that it's a good second home for club members. (E.g: show SBs not just PBs, show totals for weekly mileage, as a league, and expand so it's for other clubs not just running. Just examples.)
Ness says: Sounds like a good idea.
Rrunner says: Like. Maybe also links to club based threads on the forum (there is one for FERC but not aware of any others) chunkywizard says: Like this idea. Out club uses srh says: like the idea of SBs, not just PBs; also applied to WAVA scores not just times HappyG(rrr) says: Lots of tidy ups done by Fetch now to the Clubs page. Looks much better. ![]() Ness says: It does 👍 |
FEATURE 687mjthomasThe ability to have notifications pushed via google chrome from the site when I'm not on the site...other websites I'm on does this on Windows and my Android mobile
Elsie Too says: I'm a yes as long as you can pick and choose which notifications you want to have pushed.
CrispByNature 🇬🇧 says: I personally cannot stand browser push notifications! ishep 🇪🇺 says: The browsers let you control whether you accept or block notifications on a site-by-site basis |
FEATURE 685JCBFetchpoint: nymph Add nymph stage for the 🐞. This is not collectable; just indicates where the daily bug will mature. Created some time before midnight (maybe even at current daily 🐞 creation time). Matures just after midnight/or normal timing.
Bright Strider says:
Bright Strider says: How about normal bug, but matures at normal time, but according to local time zone? Oranj says: Good idea, but I still want it earlier, I think |
FEATURE 684Bob!Could you please make the notes field on the weight tracker editable? At the moment the only way to do this after having saved is to delete and re- enter. I weigh in when I wake up on a Saturday. I would like to later add that days parkrun time
fetcheveryone says: Assuming your weight remains the same, typing something in the notes box will overwrite the current entry.
|
FEATURE 682robertonBadge for anyone who makes to the very summit of the WSW league. It's a monumental effort and deserves recognition 🏆
RRR-CAZ 🇬🇧 says: Could also do badge for top 30-20-10-5-3-2-1
Snail says: And maybe 100,50 ![]() Snail says: And maybe 100,50 ![]() Chrisity says: As long as it is backdated ![]() JCB says: +1 for backdating and RRR-CAZ’s idea |
FEATURE 681TotriornottotriWeight predictor trend average into the future. Easy option: Make the weight loss/gain scale go into the future. (I can line a ruler up with my current trend). Advanced: Extend the average weight for the view chosen (eg 3months).
Bob! says: I would also like to add notes after wighing in without having to delete and re-input
Sigh says: @Bob, there's already a notes field, just fill it in before pressing 'enter'. Bob! says: I'd like to add notes later, without having to delete and re-input fetcheveryone says: @Bob - if you want to request something, add a request ![]() Totriornottotri says: No amendments the feature is as per the order paper! I just want to know the future! Totriornottotri says: I have come up with a 'work around' for anyone interested. Set your goal weight and date you hope to achive it. It lets you choose future dates and your weight tracks towards the future logged weight. Totriornottotri says: Can you update to 2021 so I can extend my lines on please? |
FEATURE 679Sam JelfsEnable automatic pushing of routes from here to Garmin devices, as some *ahem* other sites are now able to do... dcrainmaker.com
chunkywizard says: That would be awesome if technically possible
chunkywizard says: Seems like it’s possible so it’s. Yes from me! fetcheveryone says: I do this in a few steps: download GPX; send to Garmin Connect; send to device. |
FEATURE 675ZenTaoPlurp'Injuries' page: I'd like to be able to edit when the injury commenced - rather than it being the date that it's first input. Aches aren't always obvious as injuries until they persist. It would be useful to track from the actual occurrence date.
ZenTaoPlurp says: There's a date input box when the injury is first entered - ignore all after 'Injuries'.
ZenTaoPlurp says: After further thought, the ability to change the date on which an injury commenced would still be really useful. gwowen says: Agreed. I'd like to be able to add an injury history at one time, and set dates for how it was PeteFastFeet says: Also edit the injury title |
FEATURE 674iwaswillWSW / New? Capture the flag, flag is placed on grid same as WSW. Flag captured and moved on an activity. Points scored time held and captures, bonus for holding flag at the end Game ends after a period of time maybe a week, most points?
chunkywizard says: Fecthpoint has various things like this ie relays and trafficlights. Not sure this adds anything new
iwaswill says: I am right in thinking fetchpoint can only be played by those near you, as I liked the WSW style of playing wherever you are, but maybe other features are too close. ![]() Bright Strider says: Iwaswill, no there is a single league table for Fetchpoint. The total is a rolling 30 day one, which is a great idea. It limits potential for obsession, but also keeps going. JCB says: I believe iwaswill is requesting a game like WSW in a grid, with the game being capture the flag. This sounds great and could even involve teams. |
FEATURE 671Alice the CamelTreasure Hunt : a specific gallery for the monthly treasure hunt photos. Allow the monthly list provider to choose their favourite photo and award a badge.
MazH says: Be less samey stuff in the general gallery too
|
FEATURE 669FunkyPOMFetch Trumps - it includes a rank but it'd be good to show a league table, including a list of those who've completed it
chunkywizard says: and a badge! (bit obsessed with badegs at the moment - they are the new race medal!)
|
FEATURE 665iwaswillWho squares wins: On multiplay being able to see the map like in 1v1 would be helpful. Couple of ways to do it but any would work. |
FEATURE 664chunkywizardBadges for press-ups fetcheveryone.com/pressups.php
Gooner says: I didn't even know this was a thing!
chunkywizard says: watch the thread and get pressing ![]() roberton says: Not keen. Badges for self-reported things should be awarded sparingly Ocelot Spleens says: Very keen, I am not lying about my press ups. chunkywizard says: No lying hear either, we are all grown ups, right? Dave W says: Everything is self reported. You could have your Garmin in your car while you drive round. chunkywizard says: Good point Dave! Nellers says: I'm confused. If I lied about my press ups (which I dont and wouldn't by the way) would that stop someone else getting a badge for their real press ups? Didn't think so. |
FEATURE 662DocMcould we have badges for yoga streaks ? 7 days, 30 days etc??
chunkywizard says: I’ll never get it, but it’s a good idea
|
FEATURE 661Steve NordRunnerKit list: ability to have more than one kit list, e.g., for those who live in two places and have two sets of kit, or those who do different sports and have multiple independent sets |
FEATURE 660chunkywizardFetch Miles: When building a Fetch Mile from an activity have a button to take you back to the activity so you can easily create another from the same activity
Bright Strider says: You can use the back button of your browser, or the history.
chunkywizard says: Yep, can do but you have to click multiple times and it’s not elegant |
FEATURE 659MisterTeaFetchpoint: Option to purchase & place a toll booth. Either fixed penalty or a % of flowers picked on the ride. Max 1 toll booth per player (only available if density=0 (no traffic lights)). Could regular commuters purchase a season ticket?
chunkywizard says: is this fair being only allowed if density=0? I believe the game is consider to be balanced at the moment independantly of density, could this skew the game if favour of density=0?
MisterTea says: If you have density=0 you never get access to any traffic lights Bright Strider says: I think that the presence of traffic lights is more to do with activity than the number of residents. MisterTea says: I don't think that's right BrightStrider Bright Strider says: Yes, if it has to be in your circle, and without the density condition. Bright Strider says: I see why you'd think that Vancouver Jogger, but my circle has six traffic lights even though my density is zero. Bright Strider says: I've voted yes, with the conditions I mentioned above. milemonster says: Could this be abused? I like the idea but what if someone got one then moved their home area and placed it on a popular route. Fetch would need to write in a code so that it can only be placed in the true 0 density area. JCB says: Density 0 is not the same as not having anyone nearby. Having someone a little ways away then enables traffic lights to show up (I’ve tested). No activities need to be logged by nearby neighbour. MisterTea says: The condition on toll booths would be that you don’t have traffic lights Bright Strider says: Thanks, JCB. Good to know. JCB says: You’re welcome BS. Good point MM. VJ, yes that makes sense. I’ve voted yes Shortcut Cam says: You used to be able to buy traffic lights but this option disappeared a few years ago for reason forgotten |
FEATURE 658GoonerBadges: badges for length of time as a Fetchie. 1 year, 5 year, 10 year etc.
No.12 says: I support this, but I did think that you would have a lot of dormant users getting badges. May be it should either be Fetch Contributor (ie either 1) made some entry on a blog or forum or logged something or 2) more controversially, a Fetch supporter for
No.12 says: that last bit was meant to read, a Fetch Supporter for x years. Gooner says: It could only be issued if there is a training log entry for 2020 to keep it to active accounts? chunkywizard says: Do badges for dormant fetchies actually matter? Maybe they will come badge and get a warm feeling encouraging them to stay? Gooner says: Fair point No.12 says: no the badges dont matter for dormant people, although you will see that it affects the "number of people awarded" badge comment for those that this matters for. I am sort of with Gooners comment response. Some sort of activity each year qualifying. But w No.12 says: but will go with the flow (my comments are truncating. Must be waffling too much!) |
FEATURE 657Bright StriderFetchpoint: Armour: halves penalties. Charger (steed/horse): +50% to points. Supercharger: doubles points. chunkywizard proposed poison to halve points gained, and oil slicks, to prevent collection of objects.
westmoors says: But only for that activity.
Bright Strider says: westmoors, only for Fetchpoint, do you mean? westmoors says: Obviously its only for Fetchpoint! I meant that boosting/reducing points/penalties only applies to the activity in which the booster/reducer markers are collected. Bright Strider says: Oh, I see. That's an interesting idea, westmoors, but Fetchpoint does not currently distinguish activities. That's not to say it couldn't, but it might involve a lot of work for Fetch. Cost vs benefit. milemonster says: I'd save my doubler for a long run! |
FEATURE 656Bright StriderFetchpoint: weekly challenge. Item or a little friend to collect. For the rest week they gain points for each day that they run with you within your circle. Found in your circle. DocM's idea. Or you could have to go and fetch it in to the circle. |
FEATURE 655Bright StriderFetchpoint: dragons (point drainers) and their hoards (jewels) to appear in uncharted (desolate) areas. Might be countered by swords-in-stones (like relays, but are carried to dragons) in church precincts.
JCB says: Nice! Sounds like a new genre of fetchpoint: fetchpointPlus
|
FEATURE 654Bright StriderFetchpoint: choose your super power for the week. E.g. invisible flowers, immunity to traffic lights, your bugs are always in convenient places, no bugs. There might be less desirable side effects. E.g. with the no-bugs power, no bug bonus.
JCB says: FetchpointPlus?
|
FEATURE 653Bright StriderFetchpoint: make flower colour personal; randomly assigned colour initially, but resettable to one that the Fetchie likes. Inspired by chunkywizard.
NDWDave says: Could be like bugs. A colour for yours and one for everyone else
chunkywizard says: Dave that would work for me, especially if the values of them were shown without having got click on them Bright Strider says: Possible, certainly. See feature 652 for not having to click. |
FEATURE 652Bright StriderFetchpoint: show object details after a short period of mouse hovering, rather than clicking. A second or two might be a long enough wait period. Inspired by chunkywizard. |
FEATURE 650RrunnerVirtual badges based on number of fake parkruns completed ("Fakeruns"?) |
FEATURE 649SighRace all-time leaderboards: can the table columns be sortable, please? Thinking specifically about Fake parkrun and the age categories, but it would apply to all. fetcheveryone.com/race-leaderboard.php?id=4341261 |
FEATURE 644jennyhWhen creating a Fetch mile, is is possible to overlay the mile markers from your training entry so it is easier to pick a particular mile from a race/training entry?
Bright Strider says: If you try it, you might well find that you can. However, it is not what it is designed for, as I understand it. There might be a better tool for the job. 'Fetch miles are for ever.'
|
FEATURE 640mattglen_Hope this isn't a duplicate proposal, but how about notifications for when you break personal records? E.g. most miles run in a month, new record for consecutive training days etc.
mattglen_ says: Could also take it further and make it shareable to a page where fetchies can view and celebrate each others triumphs?
fetcheveryone says: Although it's not a duplicate, the badge system rewards most milestones. ishep 🇪🇺 says: I like it, but many circumstances would produce repeated notifications, like "new consecutive training days record" every day till the streak ends chunkywizard says: With streaks how about making the notifications weekly instead? |
FEATURE 638DocMmore fetchpoint badges. Maybe a target number of particular gems per month. badges for highest number of points on a day eg 200, 400, 500, 1000. number of flowers planted or owned
BarefootEm says: Amount of points from trafic lights? Getting into top 100/50/10 etc
Pothunter says: “Stealing” an 80 point traffic light? chunkywizard says: Yes please! roberton says: Not keen on traffic light ones (I've no one to play with 😥) but voted yes for more FP badges. ![]() Sigh says: Why not just use the ascent data? Fragile Do Not Bend says: I think it could be as simple as ascent per mile - I wanted an easy way of being able to tell if this 8 mile route was as hilly as the Beachy Head marathon, for instance westmoors says: I use the formula "(total ascent + total descent) * (max elevation - min elevation) / miles" to compare hilliness of routes. Elsie Too says: I'm only a meh because we don't have hills where I live. Gooner says: I would say it would have to include something to do with the % of the inclines too as that can obviously make a huge difference. Sam Jelfs says: Interesting, but it's not just about the total ascent / descent, but also how it is distributed. Is it a perfectly flat course except for one section of 20% incline, or is it an easy 1% all the way? Bright Strider says: Perhaps you could have rate of rate of altitude change by distance. larkim says: Is 1 climb of 500m over 5 miles more "hilly" than 5 x 100m climbs over 5 miles? Gooner says: No, but the 5 x 100 would be easier larkim says: So is there a way of mathmatically weighting big "chunks" vs small "chunks" of change? Is there any accepted rule of thumb that could be applied? westmoors says: Using 'my' formula above and larkim's examples, the single 500m climb would score 100000, and the five smaller climbs would score 20000 implying the latter is easier. larkim says: I definitely wouldn't say there was that much difference in difficulty though westmoors? FEATURE 332UltraboyAdd additional distances to the UTMOST game: 50k, 50 miles, 100k and 100 mile? Ultra runners do not tend to target PB's in shorter distances and adding these additional distances will mean ultra runners will stand more of a chance in that game.
MisterTea says: It also means that ultra runners will be advantaged in that few runners have run those longer distances - so if you've done a single 100 miles race you'll almost certainly have 20 points for each of those 4 distances you've mentioned no matter how fast or
JCB says: Agree with you MisterTea. Perhaps there could be an UTMOST Ultra edition then? Badger says: I voted yes but this seems a good point. It's worth mentioning that not everyone runs marathons either, or even halves, and in my current division, there are about 4 marathon scores and the person with 20 is about to be relegated. anthonyj89 is at the top Badger says: of the whole game, 1st in Div 1, with no marathon time. So I don't think adding one extra distance at the top would ruin the game, though I would agree that four extra distances would skew things too much.
