About Me

Discovered running in my mid-20's, best thing I ever did. Great for self confidence, fitness and weight loss (apart from when injured)!

Mum to 2 gorgeous boys (born in 2008/2011) and have had my best running years since becoming a Mum, perhaps due to an increased focus on juggling the balance between family, work and running and therefore making every session count.
Half marathons remain my preferred distance and I regularly do 5ks thanks to the awesomeness of parkrun. I also race the odd 10k and 5m usually as part of local leagues and whilst I will never be at the sharp end of the competition, I have been known to win the odd 2nd or 3rd in category in recent years.

Finally broke (smashed!) the sub-3:20 marathon and sub-1:30 HM barriers in Spring 2016 with times I am not sure I'll ever beat again, but I hope to line up on the Championship Start of VMLM 2017 using the qualifying place I coveted for so long....

Autumn 2016 will be focussed on shorter distances and hopefully a 10k time less than my age :-)

My overall priority is to enjoy running, to remain fit, healthy and injury-free and to make every session count.
