Fun event with Lost in Mud and four non fetchies. I'm well undertrained for this sort of distance just now but the idea of the Vault Race - five locations revealed at race start, and when you've collected a letter from each location, you are told the location of a safe containing medals and a cash prize for the winner - was too entertaining not to have a shot. I couldn't keep pace with the others and was probably 40 minutes behind them at the last letter, and the temptation of catching a train home rather than another 12km plus to the vault then getting back into town from the finish was too much to resist, so a rare dnf for me. Still, more than marathon distance due the first time since April, and a good day out🙂
