I enjoyed this session. I added in deadlifts as I'll do Day 4 at home tomorrow. Band assisted chin ups is proving a big challenge but there was a bit more lift this week using green and blue bands. I really struggle to get set up with this and then my arms are tired before I've got started.

Day 1 - upper body
The gym was quite busy but I got my sets done in the right order as and when I wanted to. It was very satisfying. Increased weight on bench press and Arnold press. More reps on the others. Push ups were hard so failed more quickly than last week. There were police present and much of the car park coned off when I arrived and as I left they were still there. |

A stroll along our soon to be home turf 🤞. It was lovely despite the dull cloud and sea being 10 miles out. No wind, not cold and the forecast rain held off. Stanley loved playing with the other dogs on the beach.

Geoff asked where I wanted to go for a walk, as we needed to clear our heads and the sun was shining. As soon as I stepped onto the beach, I gave a deep and long happy sigh of contentment. I love it here. Can't wait for us to move over this way.
The sea was in when we arrived - just past high tide - and we walked along the beach toward the pier. We had a cone of chips from the Leaky Boot chippy for lunch, then walked down to the boating lake and sat in the sunshine, watching the geese for a while. The wind was behind us on the way back and Stanley enjoyed playing with the hoards of dogs on the beach. I went to the gym a bit earlier hoping it would be quiet. It was when I got there so I did some deadlifts and got a PB.
Lat pulldowns and cable row were fine and then I attempted adapted chin ups on the Smith Machine, with feet on floor to develop the action. Feet off the floor, on a bench, was hopeless. By then, it was a bit busier and by the time I got to needing the cables for triceps pushdowns, there were 2 women having a long chat and doing next to nothing but taking up all the space.
