I am fundraising for The Brompton FountainIn 2017, I will be attempting to run ten marathons - a lot more than I would ever consider doing.
Ten is the number in mind as my daughter is ten this year, having been born with an AVSD (hole in the heart) and only having her first full day at home at ten days old. At ten weeks, she was operated on twice at the Royal Brompton Hospital and her first Christmas was at ten months. This venture is a means of thanking those brilliant surgeons and medical staff at the Royal Brompton Hospital, where we stayed for three whole weeks. Thanks to them, our little girl is a very happy, fun-loving little person who everyone loves being around.

Despite running cross countries at school and the occasional 10k since, I have upped the distance to half-marathons and marathons with mixed success. I enter a few marathons a year as I like a challenge but also the occasional shorter distance as well. Stubbornly trying to persuade people that I am more than capable of running a good marathon and that I should not just stick to less demanding events.
Trying to kick-start my training in the hope of an autumn marathon before winter training begins in earnest.
