Loved this! Only ran a mile on the treadmill yesterday because we had stuff to do, so that kept my streak going. And wow, my legs must have enjoyed the break because this was a comfortable run but at a good pace. Buzzing now.

A slightly slower version of yesterday's run. Still too muddy to do the full way to Kiplingcotes on the railway line, but nice enough on the road - it makes a change from the usual route.
These trainers only have 40 ish miles left in them, yesterday's trainers were almost brand new and I can really tell the difference now! I'll be rotating and using the older ones for shorter runs from now on. Headed out again to take a flask of hot choc to M then I thought I'd carry on the loop back home before finishing today's distance on the treadmill.
But then I carried on for an out and back, so by the time I was getting near home there would only be three kms to complete on the treadie, which seemed daft so I kept looping around until I got to my distance. So cold and the gusting wind was making the rain feel colder and slamming it into my face. So it wasn't the happiest of runs but the fact I didn't give up means something. First ever Christmas Day run and I loved it. Ran with Michael. It was a bit icy in places so had to take it steady. Lots of waving at strangers and shouting out “Merry Christmas”.

I think the Christmas pudding and Prosecco yesterday was slowing me down today. Either that or the brunch I ate before I ran. It felt like a long slog!

Felt so much better today than yesterday. Very comfortable run, no pace chasing, just enjoying it today. It was pretty icy underfoot in places so I walked/skated the very slippery sections. Lots of walkers out, so lots of hello's and smiles all around.

Day 200 of Run Every Day. The sky was blue, the sun was shining, there was a beautiful crisp frost - I headed out with a big smile on my face. And although there were slippy icy bits, jumping onto verge bits and waiting for cars bits I had a ball and ran further than planned. The 200 miles for December is well within reach now too

The iciest run yet this winter. I cut down onto the railway trail thinking that would be less slippery than the road but even that was frozen in places and completely muddy in others so it was pretty slow along there too. Got out of the end onto the road and up hill again and it was much better underfoot.

Ran on the rail trail because the roads seemed icier than ever. Ironically I slid and landed on my backside at the last part of the trail! Landed with a bit of a thud so I'll have a bruise tomorrow. Loved the run again. Blue skies, sunshine, everything was all frosted. I only needed 7.4km to hit my target and pace didn't matter so I just ran relaxed and happy - lots of people out and everyone was smiley. Ended up going a bit further because I was enjoying it so much. That's my first ever 200+ mile month achieved

Felt really good. Railway trail wasn't as iced up as previously so it was just the uphill at Springwells where I had to be careful. Surprised myself to see that I was only 12 seconds off a 10km pb - had I known earlier I might have been able to beat it again today.

It looked really iced over outside so I opted for the treadmill this morning. I'd forgotten how hard it is to run on! I'm certain it needs calibrating. More effort for the same amount of time and I've run less distance. Still it's done and I didn't slip and break any bones so I'll take that.

Left it late in the day and thought it was colder out than it was, so went out planning to do just 5km. Really enjoyed it and although I wasn't pushing the pace intentionally it felt good to go a bit faster after a week of plodding on the treadmill, and I'm pleased my legs haven't forgotten how to do it.
