About Me

Starting running more seriously during march 2007.Since then I have run 102 races, and even XC! Joined Cirencester AC in March 2009, and the training sessions had a great effect, especially on my speed. Mara time 4:14, Half Marathon 1:39.03, 10k now 44.04, 5k now 21.01. Never won the Cirencester AC Road Champs, RU twice, but now never will because I live in Stockport and I am a Harrier thereof. Really have no plans at all to run Marathons again, but would link 1-35 for a half, and 20.30 for 5k. My perennial probelm with running, islong runs, I do not like them! Ten miles is good for me, if I could crack that little foible I would improve considerably. CiRF qualified, level 3 Event Group qualified, plus MA in Sport and Exercise. I am unsure where this Masters will lead, as of now, nowhere. However, I am amazed at what running has done for me.

Dedicated hiker, 1000 miles a year, pub visitor, 59 new pubs a year and beer and wine drinker, if training allows :-).

Currently very under the weather, several doctors appointments in and no real reason so far, running taking a massive hit. Turns out is was Prostate Cancer and slight coronary Hear Disease. Radiotherapy in action, running backup, but slow progress.
