I am fundraising for EpicKidz and Parkinsons UK.
I have a charity place for the Lakeland 50. It,s in aid of EpicKidz, which looks like a pretty cool charity to me.If I get past the £100 minimum, then Ill add a page for Parkinsons too - in Dad,s memory
To make a donation, please visit: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Ros-Bodi-The-Lakeland-100-and-Lakeland-50

Skipped the 3rd run of wk 7 - (another 25 min) to do wk 8 run 1, 28 mins (although looking at splits, it's a few seconds short)

Still very muddy in places HR pretty much in the green apart from the two odd spikes, which make no sense. Odd ache/niggle in right ankle - I hope that doesn't stick around very long. Forgot I'd signed up to WSW - and grid is lined up badly. Not sure how much notice I'll take of the game. Skipped the rest of C25K wk 8 to finish the year on a wk 9, 30-minute run.
A bit tricky underfoot in places, but not too bad. 2.66 miles for the 30 mins, vs 2.35 for the first one back in 2011. Not the 5K that the lovely Michael Johnson suggests it could be, but it'll do ![]() Not just right ankle niggling today - seems to be whole right leg is a bit odd - new years resolution to get back to some yoga-y stretches to sort lower back out, I think. Up to 60:30s for January's "easy" runs
Just enough to push the bugs into the river - almost joined them for an impromptu wild cold swim a couple of times - it's a little slippy in the mud! Last night's curry not sitting too well, so the alternative longer route to join the cycle path back to town didn't feel like such a good idea, Happy New Year ![]() Split Summary === 1) 1m - 12:48(12:48/m) 130/145bpm 107cal 4.69/5.7mph 2) 1m - 13:47(13:47/m) 138/149bpm 114cal 4.35/5.36mph 3) 1m - 13:30(13:30/m) 142/150bpm 115cal 4.44/6.32mph 4) 0.3m - 4:08(13:36/m) 147/152bpm 37cal 4.41/5.78mph 1st Jan 2021, 12:34pm

Took a while to unstick the sofa glue this morning - was very much of the "what's the bloody point?" mentality - but I knew if I'd voiced that on here, someone would have said that a run would make me feel better - and they's have been right, of course.
Thinking about cadence - a little less slow and higher HR results. 60:30s, bug vs circle edge meant a little more than today's RtS 5k, but not a lot. Seeing if the weird recumbent bike part of husband's new hybrid elliptical is more comfortable than the old exercise bike (If we could make it work it's got Peloton/Zwift style app things and looks fun - but it doesn't actually work properly - something to do with a reed switch ?)
