Melksham runner Melksham runner Brilliant race both personally and all round. Much cooler than last year which helped. For the first time since Edinburgh, I started conservatively and was able to build up gradually. Ran the whole course (no walking for a change) and did not hit the wall. Lots of drinking and the Clif Shot Blocks were excellent. got a PB despite limited trainigndue to injury. knee held up well. Slow_T Slow_T Damn it - what started as a slight pain in the knee around mile 12/13 increased to major pain so it was walking / jogging the rest - was eventually overtaken by the White Rabbit. Half in 1:46-ish so well en-route for the planned finishing time of 3:30-ish, but hey. Good experience regardless and excellent organisation. Thanks Brighton.
