About Me
At the beginning of 2011 a couple of things happened.

My beautiful son was born and I decided that I must undo all the damage done over the previous 5 years.

I used to be relatively fit but was never one for "excercising". I would chase balls of varying shapes and sizes around a pitch/court but the thought of heading out on a run in the knowledge the only result would be coming back again never excited me. It didn't help that I had no idea how to pace myself and would be exhausted after a couple of km.

After climbing from 85kg (when I used to think i could lose a pound or two) to a worrying maximum of 102kg this year I have managed to lose 12kg and extend my capabilities from scraping over a5km finish line in barely under 30mins to happily completing my first half marathon, and smiling at the end.

This year has me staring down the barrel of my first marathon as well as trying to get my PBs down on other distances. Oh and just to make things interesting I'm also planning on entering a triathlon or two.
