Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Dickie York May be too many race miles in the legs for a top performance, see how it goes on the day.
Started off rather warm and sunny then became a bit over cast which made it more comfortable.
Run felt comfortable, 1st half in 1:26:20, slowed down after that, but very surprised to finish sub 3 in 38th place.
Very well organised race, great marshalls and support, definitely worth doing again.
Great to see Mick and Phil there as well as the rest of the Fetchies.

R4R Target was under 3:30, so pleased with 3:29:21, if slightly disappointed with way I did it - first half was too quick (1:41), and was struggling in the closing stages.
Spent most of last 7 or 8 miles doing mental arithmetic to make sure I got under target

Biastai Easiest race yet! I have picked my pace up in training. LSRs at 7:30 ish and other easy runs at 7:26. Ran steady up to 22m. Not a bad result with only 2 LSRs for it. Next one should be interesting if I keep the training at the same level.

Scopey Started too fast and didn't back off. Was running near 1/2 pace and by half way it was too late and the damage was done (went through half sub 1:35 when 3:15 full would have been good going..... big lesson learned....... back to sticking to heart rate !!)
Went through 16 on good time but cramps in calfs and legs hit hard by 18 miles......
multiple stop and stretch jog / walk - was unable to go faster than 8:40 pace or legs cramped......

duncman Far too hot. Too flat. An endless long track to go out and back on. Wanted to give up at 8 miles as I was bored.

Not disappointed with time as the course did nothing for me, but was hoping to get a PB of sub 3:50 at least......Oh well!

On the plus side though - great organisation, great goody bag, great atmosphere.

Won't be there next year unless the course changes though :(

kstuart Supposed to be a quick course so i may well give it a sub 4 shot here or then again i may not. Depends how ankle is on the day due to twisting it on a pothole the other day.
