66% PB potential on Runners World. A few hills. Checked Runbritain for a hanicap but none shown.
http://connect.garmin.com/activity/31931915 Marathon Route: Elevation
Elevation Gain:	448 ft
Elevation Loss:	472 ft
Min Elevation:	112 ft
Max Elevation:	259 ft
Marford Hill is an elevation gain of 450ft so it'll be the same as that: I'd say plus 5mins in total (with downhill too).
But http://www.runworks.com/calculator.html says add just a minute or two for this elevation.
A London route: http://connect.garmin.com/activity/75248810 Elevation gain 800 Elevation loss 800
Looked on ThePowerofTen at the previous leaders of the marathon: It seems that their times are similar to other marathons the've completed.
Finished the race. The wind was 15mph. This got to me physically and mentally and I gave up. 5 mins for the hills and 2% for the hills (Jack Daniel's running formula). 2% of 155 = 3 mins. Therefore on an equivalent flat course with no wind I would have been 158 - 5 - 3 = 150 which was my target. Wrexham AAC 2:33:30 2:37:31 2:35:00 2:37:58 76.95

duncman Blimey! I know it was a bit cooler than it has been the last couple of weeks, but thought it was still hot and not long after the start, pretty muggy.

Entered this to try and get a PB, but due to Forces March in couple of weeks time, thought I would take it steady.

I was on for PB up to 10 miles, but due to heat I though Unaffiliated 3:55:32 4:04:55 4:14:41 47.74

rosie-b perhaps need to hydrate better before the start, maybe the day before, I think I got the food side of things right. Really hard work in the last quarter, started losing a lot of time.

Was alittle disappointed with time yesterday but on reflection not bad for a first attempt. Unaffiliated 5:52:14 5:52:14 5:30:00 5:52:14 38.96
