Shakespeare marathon
1st mile very congested but it stopped me bombing off. Fairly consistent after that, slow mile while chatting to Chris up the hills (was almost as slow on the second lap) but otherwise pretty even paced.

Felt good throughout (was chatting to a LOT of people in the first half to slow myself down) and was only passed by one other runner in the last 6 miles, took dozens of runners along the Greenway.
Slightly negative split (c.2min), 7:38 pace for last 0.3 mile, strong last few miles, one happy runner.
Feet and glutes are mashed now but looking much brighter for Stockholm.

Very good performance after a tough week of training. Rest day tomorrow is very important. Look after the legs ready for Tuesday. :-)
