Paced the race, and ran the whole way with the FV40 race winner, Karen Hazlitt. Brilliant, fun way to do a long training run.
Awful race. Bad stomach almost from the start. Felt like I couldn't finish. Made it round but not good.
Whoo hooooo...sub 4!!!!!!!!!!!
Hit the wall at the end- final 10k in 61 minutes. Shame because it was perfectly paced until then. I got lost at the 30km feeding station, overshot it, had to run back and then couldn't get my pace back.
Still, over the moon with sub 4-hr!
Gonna have a crack at 2.50, see what happens.......
Blew it big style. 2.50pace until 17m then the legs went and remainder of the run was damage limitation.
Currently have injury. It could go one of two ways this race! Am holding speed, but will have to see how back holds out
I found this marathon route a bit boring and by 16 miles after the long out one side of the river only to come back the other side a bit tidious and I just wanted to get to the finish. 25th Marathon.
Running with my mate Big T. Gonna help him break 4hrs!
sub 4 for first (and probably only time)very happy and had a fabulous time
would like to think i can manage a sub 3 30 again but who knows!

Amsterdam Marathon. Perfect weather conditions and an awsome finish in the Olimpic Stadium. Went off at the right pace but stuggled to settle and never felt comfortable all the way round. The last 10m were really hard work but manged to dip under my Paris time to get a pb so have to be pleased. Terrible splits though! Went through 13m in under 1:25 so slowed dramatically the second half. Definitly more to come off it I can get it right.

Will have to start to train more seriously as I only just crept under 4 again. Pancake flat course did n't do my legs much good either they craved a few hills.Great event though
A quick jaunt into Holland as i couldn't get into Abingdon.
Over the moon with a new pb,got first sub 3.15 and qualified for Boston
going for a p:b sub 3:15. yippee i did it .i dont think i could ever run as fast as that again i trained hard and planned every step of this race to the very end so i am so chuffed with my time
Not really a serious attempt at sub 3 hours as I had only 8 weeks training due to injury. Just tried to keep to the required pace for as long as possible and declined at around 19-20 miles. Still good effort considering the preparation.
About 12 miles in my hamstring went pop, hobbled on ....
