Almost Athletes were formed in 1988 in response for a less serious running club. We have grown from a small club to one with 400+ members and of all abilities.
We do not have a permanent venue but run from different pubs in and around Cheltenham. We change venue very six weeks, which not only prevents us getting bored with the same route but also with the same beer!
We hold sessions most evenings (Monday through Thursday) with Wednesday evening being our main social club run. We also have a Thursday morning run and an informal Saturday morning off-road run. Many of us are also active parkrunners.

Track session (7pm), Prince of Wales Stadium.
Great for beginners or those returning to fitness, with focus on form and short drills.

5-mile run, various paces (7pm). Venues change every few weeks; see club website for updates.
Variety of speed groups to suit everyone. 4-mile option and a walking group for people coming back from injury. Join us for a beer (or other - not necessarily alcoholic!) afterwards.

Coffee morning run (9.30am, Norwood Arms). Social run, at an easy pace, with coffee at the Exmouth Arms afterwards.
Speed session (7pm, Honeybourne Line). Park opposite the Prince of Wales stadium. Speed interval work.
