Dogtanian Really looking forward to this. First marathon so guaranteed a PB :-) Just aiming not to blow up on the drag up to Pen-y-Pass and hoping the sunshine gods are good to us. Delamere Spartans 4:20:00 4:22:53 4:20:00 4:22:53 46.37
DylanWales First marathon - not sure what to expect. The first 20 went really well. Was looking at sub 4 hour and felt fantastic....until i lost all energy on the Waunfawr hill...was gutted - had to walk some of it...knew my chances were getting shortening for the sub 4 hour...but all in all...have to be pleased... eL Bee! It would appear that I have entered this!!!

â–º The Race â—„

I had a great time today
Ran with and chatted to Markyslee (10 in 10 bod) from the start until about 11 miles.
Then ran into Welsh Alex (who I knew from RWF but had never met) and chatted to him through Beddgelert
Then along the interminable bit from the top of the climb out of Beddgelert to Waunfawr, found myself chatting to a fella I don't know, but who'd followed our 10 in 10 progress (sorry, I didn't ask your name :() for another 3 miles.

I made friends with the climb to Bwlch-y-Groes (LOVED that bit - passed LOADS of people)

Finished in a respectable 3:30:11 considering the fact I wasn't sure even last night whether I'd run this today

Cracking day out - met a whole bunch of Fetchie folk who were simply awesome once again.

Stopped for a Cuppa at the Conwy Falls Cafe (awesome find!!!)and had a nice chat with a young lady who'd been out on her Trail Bike (with a motor) and it turned out we had a few life experiences in common.

All in all a very pleasant day :-) Cumberland AC 2:59:43 2:59:43 3:30:11 60.59

Krukers Tough race again! Lack of training miles told. First half ok, 1hr40 dead, then legs started to suffer. Had a nice chat with el bee mile 18/19 , but couldn't stay with him. Cold legs on way up WaunFawr, very stiff.Lovely cup of tea at the finish. Swansea Harriers AC 3:08:47 3:15:07 3:42:06 61.88

lizogical A very bad bad bad couple of days preceeded this race; my birthday the day before, had massive fallings out with family, slept on a friend's sofa, drove myself in the pouring rain - was amazed to even get there :D sooo overall, it cleared my head - but this years will be better! Rich963 Soaking wet and shivering at the start, finally warmed up about 4 miles in (running up Llanberis pass will do that to you!). Really strong winds down towards Bedgellert on the never ending descent. Kept the pace fairly gentle and that was definitely the right decision - only just managed to keep running up the final climb after 21 miles - the descent was very painful on the legs though. Very pleased with the day's work and will definitely be back. Stilton Striders RC 3:11:22 3:53:33 3:53:33 52.06

Velociraptor I quite fancy a PB attempt here, if the weather conditions permit :o)
Change of plan 3/10/09 - not in PB form but hope to be fit for sub-4.
*RACE REPORT* We had a generous dollop of weather, and I ran like a pork pie. Usual friendly, slightly gremlin-infested organisation, beautiful course, enthusiastic support and plentiful water stations with isotonic pop and energy bars. I'd probably be quite happy with.my time had I not been much faster last year in even worse weather conditions. Cumberland AC 3:36:39 3:36:39 3:59:59 4:57:59 47.85
