Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Woo Hoo....my knee mostly behaved itself and thoroughly enjoyed myself....next stop sub 1.50 :)
Full Bananas
Great first 7 miles but suffered with the heat after that and going off too quick. Still have to be happy with the time.
Simon L
PB. Ran well well. All miles within 15 seconds of each other. Negative split - 2nd half 1 minute up. Overtaking throughout. Easpecially on small uphill sections.
pullo
Sort of pleased after so little training but lack of long runs show in time.
oprah
Beautiful weather, but I had absolutely no mental strength to get through this today!
rockin rory
good marshalling and well organized.
LucyG
Not the stupendous PB I had in mind (sorry bet-placers!) but a lovely race and good acclimatisation to the blistering heat this summer!
Mr. K.
Started a bit too quick, knew the heat (19C) would slow me down. Only 49 sec outside my best - not bad as more undulating the Draycote Waters. Good race & nice medal.
clairevmc
Weather was really really warm and sunny. Had my sunglasses on for the first time this year. Got a PB of 47 secs which I'm really pleased with. Think I started off too fast though - going through the first mile in 5.59 and then 6.10 for the next and 6.20s or so up to half way. Dropped the pace a bit as it got warmer and slightly hillier then picked back up to goal pace of 6.30s but couldn't quite hold on and get back all the time I'd lost. Feel I could have run a bit faster if I'd paced it correctly - struggled a bit in the heat (15oC and considering it was snowing at home 7 days ago, no wonder I was hot). Think I was 9th female.
Duncs
Felt a bit crap for first 6 miles but then managed to keep putting in 7m/m. Now just need to keep that pace for FLM ;-)
wiglet
Great race for me, though I'm now nursing painful feet, ankles and shins! Brilliantly organised and the sun shone all the way round.
Neal Lyon
PB! Very pleased with that time for my first half marathon.
-Monty-
just outside my predicted time but a new pb. ran out of steam about 7-8 miles and i'm sure i can do better. perfect weather. good crowd support and marshals. plenty of drink stations and nice course. good organisation.
Insomniac
Very well organised race, definitely felt like more down hill than up. Weather helped too.
Alfadan
shouldve pushed myself more, walked a bit. Wasnt really up for it.
Pompey Paul
Had a howler - ill Sat night, went off way too fast & too hot. Apart from that a great day!
Kitbag
Great run at the perfect pace throughout. I would definitely run Fleet again.
Windsor Wool
ran well through the 7 miles but legs suffered thereafter; hope it's a hangover from the man flu of the last week. Disappointing - roll on Reading.
DTB
A good run - everything went to plan.
jenkers
did not finish
alfazenna1
Felt surprisingly good during the race and is only been my second race this yr.
fatface
Yahooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!
hope to...
Just back from ITBS. Not really fit enough to have run this, but got round.
Badgerlocke
Despite going down with a cold 2 days before, ran well and really pleased with progress from the Eastbourne a couple of weeks earlier - showing improvement as FLM approaches!!
Swain
Really warm and had to take on lots of water/sports drinks. Hillier than expected. Pleased with result in the end.
chumleywarner
Great race, hard work, pushed all the way. Excellent course too!
Shortstop:o)
Yuck! Too hot! but great race!
mike007
