Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

I am fundraising for Motor Neurone Disease Association

I have a friend who has an aggressive form of this disease; he is only 34 with 5 young children. He has had the disease for over a year, and they gave him an expectation of 2 years from first symptoms. This is a brutal disease that strips a person of their body.

Describe your ideal run, ride or swim.
A mountain bike ride with friends - ideally with photo / café stops, or both!

What's the biggest challenge that awaits you?
Right now, it's the thought of cycling the South Downs Way on July 14th - 100 miles offroad with 4000m of ascent. It will be my biggest day ever in the saddle, if I can do it...

What's your favourite thing about Fetcheveryone?
The support of people that I have mostly never met is astonishing. This is a real community :).

How do you pick yourself up when you need to?
I remind myself of all the people who are injured or paralysed and can’t do what I can do, then I train for them.

About Me

Well, I've been on Fetch for *a number* of years and have even run a few times during those years... but, in reality, I'm a mountain biker. I do a bit of road riding too, but my passion is the MTB.

I do have some running shoes, though, so you never know, I might head out at some point in 2016. Last time I tried to run (in 2015), I injured my achilles, so have avoided running since.

In 2015 I started doing the odd MTB race - in the fun category, of course - and loved it! I'm looking forward to building on this in 2016.
