a.k.a Billy Did this race with my Brother in law on very little training. He was a first timer and whacked me with a 1.55 finish. I was gutted but it kicked my running into life. I learnt loads about running in this race Dunstable RRC 1:38:10 2:20:10 2:20:10 41.36

Go-KL As has happened plenty in recent years, I seldom race over the summer and make a comeback with a late summer half marathon. I wish I raced more - but work and a fear on injury often prevents me. I'd had a few injury scares up to the race, including a mild hamstring strain which I was testing right up to the morning warm up. The race though was fine, the main problems, aside from the 23C heat, was a stiff shoulder, an over keen start and blisters again in the final miles. The final stretches were really tough going but I got a time that was effectively my equal third fastest ever. I also got a mega photo of me taken on my new at the time digital camera coming into taken at the finish by my then girlfriend (Now wife) which still takes pride of place in the living room.
