Bul v boring pb..... 8 secs!! not what I wanted but heho... on to the next one Clapham Chasers 33:14 34:51 34:50 35:19 75.00
Caterpillar Don't bet on me for this one. Stathern 10k was a PB, by more that I expected. I'm in OK shape but I'm predicting a few seconds worse than the flat course I just PB'd on. Even if I do fluke a PB on this it'll only be by milliseconds.

**** Well quite a few milliseconds. 19 seconds actually, but it was a PB nevertheless. Not official yet, but that's my time from my stopwatch. ****

Great day! And surprisingly warm and nice.

funkin I hope to just creep under 40 minutes on this one. ** UPDATE ** got a 30 second PB today. Well chuffed. Ranelagh Harriers, The Stragglers RC 38:55 38:57 38:30 38:57 68.17
Gobi When I was slow I got a PB here (2004, 39:08) I will be relatively rested. Risks: 1. knackered from training(but I should be cutting back as this point) 2. I have southern mens league the day before(if I do 800/1500 no worries BUT if like last time I suddenly have to run the 5km or 3kSC it may be an issue)

No matter how you look at this it is a risky bet BUT I know the course is fast.

***********************UPDATE*********************** Was told last night that the other 5k runner is injured so I will be doing the 5k and the 1500 and the 4x400 relay. So much for Sundays run.
**********************ANOTHER UPDATE ******************************** AND NOW I AM DOING THE 3000SC ARSE ARSE ARSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Will still have a go though
******************************The Scores Are In************************************

I stood on the line and Sonia O' Sullivan ran past, cool. Looked to my left and saw Chris Phelan as well so knew a few 34.XX runners were near by. We went off and I settled in on the back of a group of 6 which included Chris, Sonia and Lucy Hasell. Lucy dropped off at 3kms as did another chap. For 6kms it looked possible as I went through 5kms in 17.29 and the next km was still 3.33 BUT, BANG and I was running 3.40s. I am still happy and know that if I had not raced yesterday over the 5000/3000SC then I would have been very close to 35. Sonia ran 35.03 and Chris only ran 35.23 so people did find it tough. Jock Itch Missed Pb by 45 secs. Through 5k in 19 mins but faded. Sorry to all gamblers. Not bad considering on cructhes for 9 days in May ! Datchet Dashers 34:25 36:09 38:30 39:40 67.76
kirky Bit of a plod but after so long being injured I'm please with it. Wimbledon Windmilers 49:46 53:15 53:15 56.01
Kirsty First half was fantastic, was on for a pb, then at 7k it all went very wrong - I almost felt like I hit the wall if that's possible in a 10k! The past week has involved too little training, sleep and proper food.
Splits - 4.35, 4.44, 4.43, 4.41, 4.47, 4.44, 4.47, 4.58, 5.00, 4.58. Team Bushy 46:52 46:52 48:02 62.37

Puffing Bertie I enjoyed that which was the plan, sorry to those who bet on me, i just didnt want to have another crap race where i felt rubbish and hated every minute of it. Unaffiliated 53:43 53:46 55:24 56.47
Rach E I'll be doing this untapered but it would be silly not to tag along with Gobi! ***UPDATE*** Going well up to 5k then felt gradually worse and worse until 8k when things felt awful. Got over the finish (which I don't remember) and collapsed for 25 mins. It's rather scared me as I really thought I'd recovered from my collapse at work last week and I am not going to do any more serious races (bar Yateley) until the Great Eastern Run. It was a good course and nice conditions so problem obviously with me not the course!! Aldershot, Farnham & District AC, Team Kennet, Newbury Velo 36:58 37:55 39:20 75.62

SteveX Not run since 6th July so a risky bet. Problem with inside of right foot - Tib Post UPDATE Finished in 45.04 first half went OK but struggled in 2nd half of race . IA bit ring rusty but foot appears to be OK. Striders of Croydon AC 42:30 42:30 45:04 64.83
surreystriderâ„¢ Kind of enjoyed this one. Within the first kilometre I felt my groin tighten up and expected a twang at any moment but it didn't really get any worse from then on. Spent the first half thinking how nice the second half would be without the wind in my face. Wrong. Second half, no wind just bloody hot. Good bunch of Fetchies there. One day I will be able to stay behind for post race drink/snack. Unaffiliated 44:42 53:13 55:05 48.80
wizlyn Well... after a traumatic few months inc. waking up under the oxygen mask at the Welsh Castles Relay, really happy with this: PB by 28s and 3rd lady to boot!! 5k in 18:50, so lost a minute on the second half... but not complaining! Serpentine RC 38:01 38:14 38:36 77.06
