Fitguy Fitguy Awesome race in rather warm conditions. Was aiming for 1hr 35min. I started fast and Flo faster! Watched him go but then he overtook me at 6.5miles - not sure how! Watched him go again but caught him up at 9.5miles & when I wanted us to run the rest of the race together, he had nothing left. Chased the 70 yr old who won that category for last 2 miles & overtook him in a sprint finish. Then realised I had a new PB - nearly 3.5 minutes off my previous best at the Dover Half! Flo finished in 1hr 34min 19secs (which was excellent for his 1st race at the distance!) and Lyndsey did really well in just under 2hr 10mins. Well done guys and thanks for a great day!

flo73 flo73 Great run for a PB.... Just no energy in the legs... 69'47 at 10miles.... Then complete collapse, did not even know if would finish... Nigel was awesome, always is, he will have to tell me his secret... And Lynds came home in less than 2h08 when she was targeting 2h15... Well done the two of you, well impressed! As for me will have to learn my lesson and start slower next time... 4'19 is a long way to go if I want to go below 90minutes...

Gobi Gobi Evening all Paddock Wood Half report. The plan was 6min miles, the result was 1.17.38 Splits 5miles 29.40 10miles 59.16 Back pain inside the 1st two miles was a concern as was the feeling it was rather hard work running this slowly. Kevski Kevski Over the moon, 4 minutes off my half marathon PB, set at Dartford last year, 1:23:52. Worked hard, went through 10 miles a minute quicker than 10 mile PB and maintained it. Rach E Rach E 2nd lady (behind Clare Elms). Ran as hard as I could and, although not the time I was hoping for, I'm pleased with the result. Blew up rather badly(!!) but was able to put in a good last mile-and-a-bit. Obviously couldn't have run any faster today and even though I got tired my legs felt strong throughout.
