Lucky Jim My performance in this race has surely been one of the worst I've had in all the time I've been running. It was a hot day but that could only account for a part of the reason. By mile two I felt as if I'd run twenty and it steadily got worse from there. It was all I could do to put one foot in front of the other - the worrying thing is, I have no explanation for it. The PA guy said it was 26 degrees.
Took on loads of water and went under every hose pipe spray offered.
Not about the time today just glad to get round.
