Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Puffing Bertie
Oh that was so so hard in that heat, i was expecting 2.40 so not disapointed but desperatly tired now :-(
Windsor Wool
will be running with my Dad
Billsy
was in good spirits for this despite the heat and the hills but got struck down with a stomach issue at mile 10 which resulted in a few mins lost on a loo stop - otherwise I was on for 2 hrs!! frustrating but glad to finish
this is a good race but I wish they would run it in the morning!
AlexJames
Never run a half marathon, 7 days after running a full marathon...
njosmith
Very warm and much hillier than I was expecting. Missed the first couple of mile markers so I had no idea how quick I was going but suspected not quick enough due to congestion. I need to get ahead of the rate to get a good time because I often slow terribly particulalry in longer races. that was the case today and I only got under 1 hr 55 becasue I sprinted down the hill after the copper horse.
ScudULike
Will be training like billy-oh to break the magical (for me) 1hr 50mins. Although not the easiest course to do so. The introduction (if it is maintained) of 'zade stops last year will certainly help.

POST RACE: Horrible, horrible - ran whilst still suffering with tummy bug (holding some extra loo roll just in case!). Legs went at 4 miles, stumbled around a very disappointing 15 minutes off my target.
KeepGoing!
Hot and tough for 1st time but would certainly do it again!
The Croc
Too hot for a really decent time but still a great race. Pre and post race organisation was a bit disappointing however - 2.5 hours too get out of the parking lot, not good for the legs.
Heavyweight

gusmc
Dreadful effort - set out to run slowly due to the heat but didn't seem to be any respite from the sun and struggled very badly between 7 and 10. Perked up a bit with the lucozade but was never really up for this.

Still feeling unwell several hours later.
Whippet123
Brilliant but tough.
A must do for 2010
martin K
This Race takes place on my Training ground so i have to get WHAT i want
bluefinch10k
Was on course for around 1:21 at 9 miles but had crippling stomach cramps and ended up finishing with a mix of jogging and walking.
Dave45
very hot, sunny and hilly - not a good run.
dd2411
hot and hilly!!! (negative split tho so not all bad)
Mr Stick
Too hot for a 1pm race!!
wiglet
I ran pretty well but the heat got to me later on - lay under 2 duvets shivering and feeling pretty grim for a couple of hours - and most of the route is part of my normal running, so I knew the hills!
McCargathon
Absolute killer, very late start on very hot day on very hilly course. Great crowds, scenery and support and would definitely do it again.
artaserse
my first time under 1.30H
Clive B
badly affected by apparent cramp in both legs after 12 miles so hobbled last 2/3 mile!
Rob W
Late start (13:00) and hot weather. Lovely scenery and a nice run, limited water at the end and took longer to get out of the car park than to run the race! Probably not worth travelling the distance to do again.
boyband6666
My first ever organised race, which I did because my boss told me to!
