About Me
Hi everyone, the name's Scott.
Absolutely love my athletics, and even though I'm likely never going to be outstanding I'll always do my best (as I do with everything I try my hand at) and see where it takes me to.
I've now been running for 12 years (after taking the sport up in my 30's) and after a good wee spell about 5 years or so ago I hadn't really set any pb's for a number of years. In 2013 something kinda clicked though and I ran my best ever times over all distances from 5K to Marathon as well as helping Killie to a couple of Relay titles so despite being the older guy in the team there's hopefully a bit of life in me yet.....
Don't do massive mileage, every run I do I gain something out of though. Still don't think I've peaked, the MoJo is still there and if I can offer any advice to any of the younger guys I'm always happy to help if asked.
Most important thing? Enjoy the sport, and don't be afraid to ease back if you think you need to - recovery is crucial.........it'll most likely do more good than harm.
