-caz- Reckon I'm off my trolley doing this race after two training sessions this year (both this week), totalling 5 miles. Not running this for time, only to clock up some mileage and regain fitness. Wish me luck ....lol

Well I finished and I'm over the moon to note my splits after getting home. The 2nd half of the race was a breeze for some reason, I knew I was plodding along at a comfortable pace, well not PB pace but I knew what my aim was tonight, OK 55 seconds over my worst case prediction but I'm not complaining, no way. Yes I had to work and I know my legs will feel like lead over the weekend but I didn't stop at all during the race, BONUS. Unaffiliated 47:21 55:55 55:00 55:55 47.37

bedlam_g A PB and under 40 again really pleased. It was a faster course and I ran a more disciplined race than Helensburgh. The last couple of KMs looping around the shopping centre seemed to take forever. ChrisU Gained a last minute entry and managed to run my first sub 35 minute 10k - finished 20th in 34:54, so pleased enough with that. Cambuslang Harriers, Westerlands Cross Country Club, Scottish Veteran Harriers Club 34:38 34:38 34:54 80.38
ClaireT Quite a fast course, but found this one tough, a bit pooped out from too many races. Pleased enough with my time all things considered.10th Lady. Victoria Park - City of Glasgow AC, Scottish Veteran Harriers Club 38:11 38:59 40:18 74.01

hannkies Ran a bit better than this I feel. Went straight ahead where I should've turned right in the last K ( following the guy in front ). Had just gained a few places and lost them straight away, as well as time and momentum so feel just a tad cheated. Probably not in shape to go sub 35 again just now - that'll come I hope - but was looking for a wee boost of around 35.30 and probably wouldn't have been overly far away. Finished 32nd. kyt 30 secs off last week's Helensburgh time, so I'll take it. As usual, almost a great PB course, but loads of tight turns. Great drunken encouragement at 3 and 7 (?). Week off in Arran may destroy next wk's sub-40 target at Dumbarton, but we'll see. The pressure of fetch fantasy bets? ptchah! Unaffiliated 39:45 40:09 40:00 40:43 66.01

shannon too quick for 2k (head says one thing) then slow for rest of race. good to get more race miles in, will get there eventually. Garscube Harriers 38:35 41:05 42:40 61.88

Yano Feeling positive for this one ....Bit gutted, had to pull out at the last minute for personal reasons. Sounded like a fast course and was feeling good for sub-40 after Dunfermline half. Never mind - there will be other opportunities soon, starting with Dumbarton 10k next week. TENTATIVE Unaffiliated 39:32 39:32 39:50
