A running club based in Bishopbriggs, on the outskirts of Northern Glasgow. The club meet at Huntershill clubhouse on Tuesday & Thursday evenings at 7:15pm, and also Sunday mornings at 9:30 for longer, slower runs opposite the Leisuredrome Sports Centre.
The club was formed in 1893 and has had its fair share of highs and lows over the years. Currently there are new members joining every couple of weeks and membership is at its highest.
The club organise 2 races a year, the main one being the JACK CRAWFORD 'SPRINGBURN CUP' 10K held in mid January. This race has been in the Scottish Athletics circuit for many years, although the route and distance has changed for different reasons. The current route is mainly along the Forth & Clyde canal path.
The other is the CANAL CANTER 7K, this is held on a Wednesday in mid August. The route is along the Forth & Clyde canal then a loop through the Possil Wildlife Reserve.
The club are keen to welcome anyone to the club regardless of their ability.

Speedword. (usually 400 metres to the mile). We take part in sessions on the track in the summer, and on the roads in the winter. The first Tuesday of each month we take part in our handicap run (internal race).

A steady (6 to 8) mile run. Our Summer runs are in Bishopbriggs, Balmore, Torrance and Kirky. Our Winter runs are in Bishopbriggs and Bandit Country (North Glasgow).

Sunday
Long Sunday Run at the Bishopbriggs Leisuredrome from 9:30am. The average distance is around 12 miles (although can be a little shorter or longer). Most of our runs are along the Forth & Clyde canal or in the East Dunbartonshire countryside, we run in Bishopbriggs, Kirkintilloch, Lenzie, Torrance, Balmore, Bearsden & Milngavie, (Ruchill, Lambhill, Maryhill and Kelvinside) and now and again run part of the West Highland Way.
