About The Club
Westerlands Cross Country Club was founded in 1977 as a club for post graduate runners from Glasgow University Hares and Hounds. The club currently has around 100 members.
The club organises several hill races: Whangie Whizz, Ben Lomond, Arrochar Alps, Cort-ma Law and Kilpatricks.
Training runs are every Wednesday. In the winter we generally meet at Garscube Sports Complex, and the summer we have runs in the Campsies and Kilpatrick Hills.
We also have monthly curry nights (1st Wednesday of the month), and annual events like the Loch Ossian pilgrimage, the club handicap races and the summer and winter leagues.
