bedlam_g Didn’t run well today started too fast then found myself running alone for about 5 miles. But hey who’d of thought I’d ever be disappointed with a 35 min something 10k. A few firsts today a family outing with myself, my sister and dd all running in the same race for the first time, and a first time to finally meet Debstir and see Eyespy running. Mile Splits 5.31, 5.45, 5.46, 5.48, 5.53, 5.51, 0.56 Bellahouston Road Runners, Cumbernauld AAC, Kilmarnock Harriers & AC, Scottish Veteran Harriers Club 34:01 35:17 34:45 35:32 75.64

ClaireT First race in a few months where I actually felt good and focussed on the job, so I'm pleased to welcome back my mojo and hope it is planning to hang around as I have a sub 38 still to work on! Well done to clairevmc and dd for their shiny new PB's! Victoria Park - City of Glasgow AC, Scottish Veteran Harriers Club 38:11 38:11 38:30 77.62
clairevmc Really really pleased to knock over 1 min off my PB. Thought that with not having done any speed sessions recently my time would suffer. Got 4th female prize too which was a nice surprise. I love this course, flattest one I know of and a well organised race. Very clear km markers although I think 2/8 were in the wrong place maybe. Fantastic selection of sandwiches and cakes afterwards - the organisers did themselves proud. P.S. If anyone from Ayrodynamic is reading this - can you get some smaller t-shirts for next year please!! Brilliant race, thanks to the organisers and marshalls. connelld I really wanted a PB here but didn't expect to dip below 36 (PB 18 min for 5K). goKeith, Hannkies and 2nd Place Steve Wyllie and 3rd Place, Sunbed Athlete all prize winners. Also good day for James, Ross Winner David Miller (Possibly Course Best) and Toni McIntosh (1st Woman). Cheers 2 wil-e, eyespy, rossco b etc for the support. daviec Solid run today. Can't complain. Was on for pb for most of the way. With some tempo work added to training i think i can bring this time down to where i want it to be. Perfect conditions on a great course though. I love the turkey trot :) Carnegie Harriers 36:20 38:12 39:00 38:27 68.76
dd Last minute decision to run this one... all weather dependant. Wasn't really up for it in the end and felt Xmas overindulging took its toll. Started off way too fast and paid for it towards the finish but still a 35 sec PB. 2009 is the year I will go sub 60! Nice to meet a few new fetchies and catch up with a few more familiar ones (including finally meeting Debstir!). Thanks also to all the lovely Bellas who cheered me on as they passed on the way back and all the supporters near the end :) Unaffiliated 1:01:42 1:01:54 1:01:54 49.34
Debstir Watch time - 51:10, gun time 51:20. Shouldn't be getting a time like that after everything I ate & drank the day before, but I ain't complaining :-) Good to catch up with EyeSpy & Haggis, sorry to miss Applecross and eventually got to meet Bedlam & dd, as well as Larrry for the first time. Great race, well worth the journey from Perth ;-) Unaffiliated 48:30 50:15 51:10 58.92

Gokeith course best time, pretty happy with performance.Went out hard to give myself a chance of pb,didn't happen but you gotta go for it.Won M40 1st prize and 5th overall. Good results for team Killie with pbs for Connelld and Scott and also a mention for Eyespy who ran the 5k without breaking sweat ;-) Kilmarnock Harriers & AC, Loudoun Runners AC 33:13 33:13 33:39 82.06
Haggis Are Fetchies becoming anti-social? Only two of us with Fetch tops on and VERY few others introduced themselves to us.

Not too displeased with time - not done much training this year and very few races. I'm going by Garmin time as I stopped to check on an injured club-mate.

hannkies Got to be pleased to break my pb which has stood for over 2 years and annoyed me a lot. Didn't think I was in sub 35 shape at this moment but pleasantly surprised and if anything feel I could have been a bit quicker to be honest. 38 second course best for me, 11th overall and 3rd V40 ( in brilliant running conditions which helped ), and top top marks to GoKeith ( 5th ), James ( pb ) Connell ( nearly a 60 second pb ), Ross ( 37.11 in 1st 10K ), SBA ( sub 33 in comeback race) and loads others. Thanks to EyeSpy for the support. Kilmarnock Harriers & AC, Scottish Veteran Harriers Club 34:21 34:42 34:42 78.95
Heders Almost hit my PB but 2 weeks previous of minimal training and mucho dancing on stage took its toll! Unaffiliated 49:39 49:39 50:23 58.98
ian9657 was under the weather, started really well, was on for a PB at half way but lack of reserves meant i faded a bit on the route home. Didn't want to push myself too much. Great support from Bella and killie runners. Well done to ClaireMcV who just get's better and better. No. 290 stole my place after the finish line. Unaffiliated 41:35 43:04 44:06 67.94

larrry Great day and pretty good time after eating my weight in chocolate yesterday!! Brilliant to see the other Fetchies, who came and introduced themselves. Haggis and I were the only ones with our shirts on and nice to put faces to the names! Very pleased to see my daughter home from Edinburgh, specially when she gave me my xmas present - a brand new Fetch T-shirt(black/red)which I'm so excited to wear!!!Wonder if it'll help me get back under 50?! RichyC Delighted with run today, new pb by 46 secs (22nd of 270). Flat course and perfect conditions made it ideal. Not bad after a few days of over indulgence too! Pleasing to keep the pace more consistent throughout. Splits: 5.44, 5.53, 5.55, 5.55, 6.03, 6.00, 0.51. Good to see rosscob win the 5k run and daviec put in a good performance on return to racing. And cheers to the kilbarchan lad who gave me encouragement to stay strong through the last mile or so. Unaffiliated 35:48 36:22 36:22 72.59
shannon THE RACE RETURN: gun time (super quick results service). Started at the back as I have not raced in over a year. Ran with Mrs S...thanks to her for seeing me round. It was a good run, although the cars got in the way with oncoming runners at the Spar turn and the marshal didn't direct us left while in the housing loop (fair enough, he looking at the quicker runners coming the other way). Got a bit wobbly at 3k but walked it out. Good support all the way round and ran in with a nice chap from the local club. A bit cheeky though when I outsprinted him and the wife at the end.

lovely conditions and it's great to finish. So glad to have done a race in 2008. Garscube Harriers 38:35 1:06:42 1:06:42 39.60
Sunbed Athlete Took 3rd place with my 1st race since end of Oct plus with ankle not being great neither.Went away too fast but got into a steady rythum & was happy with time & state of ankle.Thought the lap around the houses would aggrivate the ankle but it held out great.Well happy with result.Sorry I never got a chance to speak to RichyC but spoke to gokeith(1st V40-great run),hannkies(PB..well done bud),connelld, clairevc(big well done on your PB)(training in America has def paid off...:),daviec,comntheaccies......but hey must have been the only fetcher not to be cheered on by eyespy21...:)
