27 Entrants Club PB SB Pred Time WAVA
Ally2 paid up 28/9. Prediction nearer date. My 2nd half so more familiar with pacing and I'm in good shape so hope to beat my PB. Obliterated My PB and very very happy to get sub 80-aim of 2008 already achieved. Didn't think I could run so fast. Felt so good all the way round running with the first lady for miles 4-9 miles, then got dropped then reeled her back in the final mile. Splits 1mile 5:52, 5mile: 29:52, 7mile: 42:13, 10mile 60:34. Race organisation Ok, needed more loos but marshalling great and good support around course. Came 12th out of 978. Gun time of 1:19:15. Dez! My first race after taking up long distance running. Loved every minute of it and am determined to enter every year, baring injury and illness. Weather and atmosphere were perfect. SPKoF watchtime - waiting on chip. Tougher course than expected. a bit twisty, the path along the canal was tarmac but very uneven with lots of rises/fall for roads. the final 2 miles were slow due to cobbles on the 12th and New Walk hill on the 13th.
