This event is listed on these dates:
PB by 6 mins 14 secs. A wet and cold race, with a chaotic start and questionable finish but enjoyable all the same.
Not exactly as planned ...
An unexpected PB. Damp but happy.

Will give it a real shot if my knee is ok. If not, might be slower! No matter what I'll get a pb though... first 10 miler
Not too bad considering I'm not race fit and have had two colds this month.
Time by chip. Very happy with my time as my top end target was 57:20. Went off pretty fast and tried to maintain it. Just about managed it although started to tire at 8m and was running on fumes at the end.
Weather was perfect, lots of rain but no wind at all which is all you can hope for. Great course pancake flat and lots of good runners was in a good group till quite late in the race.
not a peeb attempt
have barely run all summer, so that chances of doing well for this race are non-existent. But that won't stop me
*PB by watch time, dunno chip time yet* nice to see a few soggy fetchies braving the elements. Kept my bin bag on til mile 9. Race started late, no water at the water stations. achilles sore from mile 4, am off to soak it in the bath....
You bet on me at your peril. I'd like to meet the person who bet on me for the Brid half and got mega points! I am a temperamental runner.
gonna give this a blast with the way i'm feeling at mo.
I have run 1 hour 16 at Preston 10 miles a couple of years ago and I would love to get this time or better again, as i have not really raced proper this year. I ran the Zevenheuvleoopen in Holland just over a week ago and it was a 15k and I had a great run . Fingers crossed.
Woo hoo a pb. Much better race than Brampton. Most of the roads closed off.The ones that were not it didn't feel as if you were going to get taken oout by a lorry at any given minute. 2 waterstationsand loads of freindly cheering marshals. A obe to do again. Defo. x
cold wet and blooming windy
