I ran the Thirsk 10 in grim conditions. The water on the road was ankle deep for parts of the first 2 miles. Serious problem with the mile markers: 7 to 8 miles must have been about .8 of a mile and 8 to 9 1.2 miles. Otherwise this was an enjoyable race - would have like 2 mins faster but the conditions were hard.
