Secondly I got to say Hi! to lots of fetchies and they are always nice people. Dunstable RRC 1:12:03 1:12:25 1:14:00 1:13:23 60.02

Billy Not expecting anything remotely linked to speed as I'm running the Orion 15 the afternoon before. Is it true? The clocks go forward 1 hr the night before as well!update:The world and his wife overtook me today! I didn't really expect anything less after yesterdays toughie so I am quite pleased to have just got round. Excellent Marshalls and the sun was a welcome visitoras well. DrBob tough race, the hill really slowed me down and it was really hard to get back to 6mm pace. Pleased with the sub 60 though and got second vet which was nice. Cambridge & Coleridge AC 51:07 58:15 59:00 59:54 79.92

Hash Lovely run, well organised, gorgeous scenery, fabulously supportive marshalls, and with a beer at the end that's as good as it gets. Great to meet some more fetchies too.

Chuffed with my time so it looks like I didn't need my list of excuses after all, although I do have a good one. Apart from having a snuffly cold, I spent yesterday afternoon planting my spuds. In the rain..... Anyway, just as I was finishing I bent over to pick something up just as the wind caught the shed door and gave me a massive and very painful whack on the bum! It hurt like hell and is still aching, so I was sponsored by neurofen this morning. I've heard all the jokes about bangs like a shed-house door as well!

Jigs Wot a twonk!! - Just noticed I had predicted a 65 second race time!! That's some PB :) * * * Update * * * Gorgeous sunny weather with a little breeze. Hill between miles 1 & 2 was ok, but nice to know we had it to come down on the return. Didn't feel like I could push much harder, but paced it well all the same. Second half was quicker than the first, as it should be. Great race, well organised with lots of peculiarly hatted marshal's but very friendly and supportive. As was KatieB, thanks for the shout. Lots of other Fetchies met too, No.8 (Brilliant result!!) Nightjar, Silvershadow, Dr.Bob (Panthered up to the eyeballs) Lumsdoni, Schneke, AkaBilly, Hashette. Great day, Good result :) Unaffiliated 1:02:26 1:02:26 1:05:00 1:02:26 72.44

Lumsdoni 1st race since FLM 07, marking my return to running after 3 months off wih injury. Have no idea how this will go. FETCH BETTERS - My PB is 1:24:30 but set 2 years ago when I was in fine form. It's a gamble, do you feel lucky punks? Stotfold Runners 1:20:34 1:20:34 1:24:29 1:20:34 54.40
Lycra Hurricane Doing this as prep for the Bungay Marathon a week later. Started very conservatively and enjoyed not being pressurised to achieve a good tme. So I'm pleased that I was able to do the race comfortably. Bedford Harriers AC, Rushden Runners 1:22:42 1:23:25 1:23:00 1:23:25 60.97
Mr BDR Absolutely amazing race, well worth the hour less sleep!
Really pleased with my time - thankfully the official time was also under 70mins! Milton Keynes AC, Team Milton Keynes 1:09:59 1:09:59 1:12:30 1:09:59 62.63
Mrs Jigs (Luverlylegs) Well organised and marshaled, route was a little challenging at times but nothing untoward, weather was perfect. Started of pretty ok apart from tight right hamstring, but foot started troubling me again at mile 4 so I had to slow down, still a PB but nowhere near the time I was looking for. Good to see Fetchies today, some fantastic times, namely No 8, second finisher, Dr Bob, 8th and Jigs who had a fantastic PB and finished in 62:26!! Shame I kept him waiting so long! ;) Bedford Harriers were out in force, like a swarm of wasps!! ;) Unaffiliated 1:10:07 1:16:01 1:13:00 1:16:01 75.63
Nightjar Excellent race. I started fairly slowly but made it up the sand hill in good shape so started picking off runners from about 3 miles. Managed to 'let go' reasonably well going back down the hill and even pick off some more people in the last 100 yards. Time is unofficial. Bedford Harriers AC, LDWA 1:13:43 1:18:16 1:18:16 59.66

OllyW Knackered achilles could slow me down - if not could be in for a PB, weather permitting...
UPDATE - Achilles IS officially knackered and probably cost me a couple of minutes, a shame as the weather was really nice. Unaffiliated 1:05:00 1:06:08 1:05:00 1:06:08 66.15

Schnecke Really enjoyed that! Sun was shining, larks were singing, saw a field full of donkeys gambolling about (would have stopped to talk to them if it hadn't been a race) and the marshals were lovely! Wasn't expecting a pb, and didn't get one, but the first mile was about 8.45, then the second (with the hill, which wasn't actually that bad) almost a minute slower! So spent the rest of the race trying to catch up so I could at least make it under 1:30, which I just managed to do (going by my watch rather than the 'official' time which will be slightly slower as I always start near the back.) I think the last 2 miles (mostly downhill) were the quickest of the lot because I caught up all the time I'd lost! Might even have been a negative split! (It's at times like this that I could do with a Garmin.) Also, saw lots of Fetchies, some disguised in club vests (me included) - I hope I can remember all the names: Dr Bob, Luverlylegs and Jigs, Hashette, Nightjar, Billy and I also saw a supporter in a Fetch buff who I think was KatieB? I also saw a mystery male Fetchie running against the crowd on the way down to the start in a black Fetch shirt - anyone know who that was? North Herts Road Runners 1:22:37 1:27:35 1:29:52 61.04

The Teaboy Ran a reasonable time. Didn't feel I ran that well. Probably ran first half mile too fast as my paceman went off like a rocket. Felt shite by the top of the hill and then almost popped completely at Mile 6. Somehow got it home in a respectable time.

Can and will go much faster. Bedford Harriers AC 1:11:15 1:11:15 1:15:00 1:11:15 61.40
