Alan Hopefully knock 5 minutes off my first half, but it will depend on that wind along the promenade!

Thankfully there was very little wind, but stupidly missed the first water station so was gasping by the next one at 6 miles having done all the hills! Was really happy with the final time and was great to come to back to my town and see some old friends and family.

Congratulations to SparkyMark, Phantom and Stepford Wife on betting on me - my first time being bet on!!! Unaffiliated 1:26:00 1:52:43 1:55:00 1:52:43 51.43
Alwyn This was my first Hastings run. The hills were a killer - the just kept on comming. The people of Hastings were fantastic with their support and the event was very well organised. I will definately try to do it next year Unaffiliated 1:52:40 1:54:31 2:02:00 2:00:11 51.38
BigEvilC although a personal best over TW 2 weeks previously was hoping to make 1.39 something to psychologically give me a chance of 3.30 in FLM in April but will revise to 3.45 now.

Thos hills at the start took a lot out of me but the crowds were wonderful and the weather gorgeous Kent AC 1:29:12 1:34:38 1:39:59 1:40:09 61.15

KJ What a bad run!! I knew there was something wrong on Saturday during my easy run, legs felt empty.
First 3 miles at 5:45s, then the main uphill part for 2 miles, went backwards, had to stop for a pee, pace from then on 6:30s, I'm demoralised!!!
Hope things get back on track for Paddock Wood half in 3 weeks. Ashford and District RRC 1:17:51 1:24:50 1:24:50 74.01

Making_Tracks What a fantastic day... the weather was gorgeous, the organisation fantastic and the people of Hastings provided great support. The medal is a great horse brass!

This is tough hilly course so I'm pleased with my 2:06:43 time. Sorry if you placed a bet... Reading might be a better choice Unaffiliated 1:59:02 1:59:02 2:06:43 53.27
MattTheRat Wow! A PB by over 5 minutes, and a great day out. A bit crowded at the beginning after taking ages to find a parking place and arriving quite late at the start. Spent the entire race over-taking people. The hills early on were OK, but I was worried I'd gone off too fast. Held on through miles 5 and 6 and then ran well through to the finish. The last mile seemed long, as I had little left in the tank by that point, but I hung on and got a 1:33 and a special horse brass with a leather strap for being in the first 500. Mr Hiles Only my second half marathon. Apologies for those folks who bet their points on me! Felt below par for most of the run, too warm and too hilly for my tastes! :o(

SK aka Clive If I'd realised how close I was to a pb I might have managed to put a bit of a sprint on at the finish, but I think I was done for at the end. Fantastic atmosphere and crowds, went all goosey at the Hospital , the old ladies banging their saucepans were a sight to behold! Ashford and District RRC 1:52:40 1:54:06 1:56:34 57.15

SteveX Not predicting a time for this. Ran 1.36.10 last year but calfs are a bit tight so will see how it goes on the day. Had a slight head cold and too many late nights but got arounsd in a respectable time. No trouble from calf.

StringSideUp probably too optimistic but good to have something to aim for. Update: Oh dear. Barely scraped by with a slight PB and didn't enjoy it. Don't know why it felt so hard but just to keep running took huge mental effort, and felt v spacy near end and afterward. Decided never doing another race. Ever. tigers Really beautiful day for running. Great support. My time was from passing start line to passing finish although official time may be more as it took 3 mins to cross start line. In retrospect great day and great event. Unaffiliated 1:46:01 1:47:04 1:50:00 1:47:04 59.14
