Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Notes & Comments

Trying the Speed 4 out on some local hills, including seeing what they're like for walking uphill. Took a bit of willpower to make myself walk up hills I'm well capable of running up. Started off pleasant but was very warm by the time I got home.
The graph and the numbers don't show how much walking I did. There was a tiny bit starting at 4.55 miles, quite a lot of the road back up to Hayton, most of the road up from Hayton to the A596, and a couple of the uphill sections in mile 10. My calves nagged on the first incline but settled down. The shoes felt like they should have bells on the toes.
272 Tempo, 0.4 Anaerobic, probably heat artefact.

Was that running up and down some hills testing shoes? Nice anyway!
Jaks
Nice mileage, well done 👏
Ness
Well done 👏
WayOfTheDodo
Good testing!
RiceandPeas
Nice! How'd you enjoy the shoes?
Velociraptor
Thanks :)
The shoes are nice for running but not ideal for walking, and there'll be a fair bit of walking in the DD if I get beyond half marathon distance. I'm going to take them on some bigger hills and try to get used to how they feel.
Dvorak
Great stuff :-) Good experimenting.
Rosehip
good trial - lucky you have some bigger hills to play on :)
Velociraptor
Thanks :)
I just need to go and tackle those big hills.
geordiegirl
Nice bit of shoe testing. Hope you get them where you need them to be. Great miles too.
