Time on feet run/walk. Pleased with this as my head kept wanting to give up especially where I knew mr jaks could pick me up.
This was tough. I’ve had tired legs all week, tried to run the downs and flats and walked the ups. Stopped at Boot for a coke. It was very boggy on the fell, fell on my bum at one stage. By the time I got down to Wasdale I was filthy 😂. Had a quick wash in the loos then bought a Calipo which I ate walking out of the campsite. Run/walk the rest of the way home. My shoes rubbed when they got muddy/wet and I’ve got a small blister. I’ve decided to go back to my plan instead of just bumbling about with my mileage.
Full wet weather gear on. Was going to do a circular 6 miler but turned around on the fell as the heavy rain and the strong winds were not conducive to running. It was freezing. It was also very muddy. I need some sort of peaked cap without the hat bit as I don’t like running with my hood up but need something to keep the rain off my glasses. Had to peel my wet clothes off when I got home. What a lovely run/walk. A bit of sunshine makes all the difference. The wind was cold on the tops but it was mainly behind me or to the side. Tried to keep HR <135bpm, Ave HR 128, that’ll do. Legs still tired from Sat and I have a few aches and pains but nothing I’ve not had before. Enjoyed that. 😀

Had to do my LR today instead of Saturday as after 14 months of waiting I've got an appointment at the Immunology clinic in Newcastle 😀
Run/walk as per usual. I was tired before I set off as I woke at 2.30am and couldn’t get back to sleep, good training I suppose 😜 I went round the route so the hills came last so I could push up them on tired legs. Everything was ok until I got to the furthest point along the lake and the blummin heavens opened and it was freezing. I had to stop and take my pack off to put my jacket on. The wind was bitter all the way back and I got soaked. Had to strip off n the bathroom as soon as I got in and got in the shower to warm up.
