Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

A great well organised race, the hills at 4-6 km and 8km are a killer though.
Harder course than it appears on paper but perfect conditions and a nice wee 40s PB :-) Well organised and a nice feed at the end too. Official chip time even quicker - sub-43 :-)
Brilliant organisation for this race. I have to agree with the other comment about this race being tougher than it looks on paper. Yes, the downhills are nice but the uphills really hurt! Good PB for me and many others by the looks of it though.

3rd place. interesting course, well organised and a teknical t-shirt! nice. will do again
Big Al Widepants
Hard race especially the middle section with a long slow climb. Nearly chucked in the towel at 6k but it flattened out and the last bit was nicely downhill. Well pleased with the time.
2nd. No bad considering. Felt not 100% today but after the gun felt good. First few kms were good although clock in car was off by about 15 seconds. Got a very bad stitch at 6kms and it didnt ginuntil about 7kms. Not an excuse. I couldn't have caught first place but still a little disappointed with performance today. Achilles sore for first 3 kms then settled down. Need to get to route of that!!!!

A chilly start on a lovely sunny morning. What a beutiful run; views for miles (snow atop Tinto Hill & Coulter Fell in the distance). Downhill all the way apart from 2km 4-6 and at circa 8km, oh, yes and a final sneaky push required up a steepish slope right at the entrance to the field in which the race finshes!

A technical tee shirt for all finsihers and warming Lentil soup with a filled roll at the end. Perfect!
heard its a good race for a pb.fingers crossed. Watch time 40.09 bit gutted twisted my ankle at around 4 mile mark, kept plodding through the pain, happy enough
Big C
Ooooooh! 7 seconds off a PB. Great race on a lovely day for it. Splendidly organised by the Striders. Thanks to lovely Janeypie for driving me down and supporting despite being injured herself and unable to run.
