Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

That's cool. Campbell park Milton Keynes was in a right state a couple of years ago after we had a Chiltern League XC there, followed week or two later by a world cyclo-cross cup. It must've taken them ages to get it back to grass.

Wish that I had that much horsepower available to get me through the bogs last Saturday :-)

Great day though, especially the run-in, tremendous!

That last bit is fantastic! I love and hate the course whilst I'm out there but the thought of the run-in sort of draws me towards it :-)

oi you
I know what you mean about the love-hate feeling. I was really keen to run it, and even now I'm pleased I did, but I really didn't have a good run.
I was close to tears at the end. i had a whole menagerie of aches and pains, old and new, and I just felt drained by it.
I may need to rethink running the Championship distance races. Or re-think my training, I suppose.

Ages ago (talking years) I’m sure there was an article about the “joys” of XC. Is this still around in any guise?

Week on Saturday for my second xc season start.

I see the UKA cross challenge races have equalised male and female distances for seniors at 10k. I know what I think but also know it's a seemingly divisive issue. Interesting that UKA avoided status quo.

I thought they'd only equalised the final, in line with the World champs XC.
