The rain of the last week or so will make it a little muddy in parts, as will the several thousand runners before i get going. The start lists are englishcrosscountry.co.uk Apparantly the men's race will be a small lap, a medium lap and then 2 long laps (the second of which may also go up the hill near the Derby Road pedestrian entrance if allowed). Can't find a map of the course, but this is the start/finish set up nottsac.co.uk

I tend to be running in the least crowded section so if the photographers hang about long enough they'll get ample chance to capture my suffering. We've got a minibus for the dozen or so of us going to the Nationals, and it's likely to be a long day. We'll be setting off about 8ish and not expecting to be back much before 10PM. There will be cake & prosecco though, so not all is lost.
