So who is in for the Nationals next week? The rain of the last week or so will make it a little muddy in parts, as will the several thousand runners before i get going. The start lists are englishcrosscountry.co.uk Apparantly the men's race will be a small lap, a medium lap and then 2 long laps (the second of which may also go up the hill near the Derby Road pedestrian entrance if allowed). Can't find a map of the course, but this is the start/finish set up nottsac.co.uk |

Chrisity I'll be around at the national, it's always a good day out, and last we were at wollerton I really enjoyed the course (though whether my recollection of 50% good running 50% bog was accurate I don't know!)

IF you are doing the Nationals you can get free pictures sent to your facebook page englishcrosscountry.co.uk You will need your bib number which can be obtained from the above site under nationals if you search a bit. |

oi you
Hmm. I'm not sure I'm ready to share the full horror of my run straight to FB. I tend to be running in the least crowded section so if the photographers hang about long enough they'll get ample chance to capture my suffering. We've got a minibus for the dozen or so of us going to the Nationals, and it's likely to be a long day. We'll be setting off about 8ish and not expecting to be back much before 10PM. There will be cake & prosecco though, so not all is lost. |
