Wasn't wrong when I said Coundon Hall Park would suit me. 132nd which is the highest I've ever finished and sub 6mm pace for just under 5.3 miles with 5 miles run in 29:42 which is my first sub 30 (I don't do LD regularly apart from XC) !

First time officiating at xc today - funnel marshal - was interesting being on the other side of things, but really missed racing with my team, especially as we were at Aldersley Stadium, Wolverhampton and I do like that course! Still, guess we should all do our "bit" otherwise there would be no races (polishes halo!).

BFRs TVXC today. It's raining and it's forecast not to stop so should be fun! I'd planned to run back so now I have a dressing/shoes dilemma*. Might have to take extra stuff then persuade someone to look after it and drive it home for me!

*just re-read that and I'll like to assure you I will be dressing, I'm just not sure in what yet.

Pretty cold out there for marshalling SD. Did you have to do the duties yesterday then, is that how your club do it?

SPR - our Club is a small club in a big League, so although we can't host a cross country race we have to provide officials at some of the races (which is fair enough, I reckon).

We have to provide officials (one per race I believe) but the size of our club usually means someone is injured or not feeling like racing so can cover. Might be a bit harder for the women though.

Good running yesterday SPR - I've only ever done Coundon once and was very off colour due to having given blood the day before!

What hasn't helped with officials especially in our club is the reluctance of many venues to host ladies and men, easier to provide if the whole club is at one place. Such is life.
