Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

<< my profile picture is one of our XC routes - 3 laps including this 20m water "feature", plus a couple of horse jumps added in. Our team seems to be stricken by injuries this year - we only had 7 runners yesterday, last year we had 20 at the same event.

Looks fun in that mud - a little different to your 'cleaness' the other week at Uttoxeter! facebook.com

Yes, I've done muddier road races than Uttoxeter relays! Interestingly we've got a N Staffs fixture at Uttoxeter in Dec, but at the race course do you know what that would be like? It's a new venue for me, no Leek course in N Staffs this year.

Not seen a XC at Uttoxeter Race Course before, though one of the Summer League's has a Half Marathon road race that starts and finishes there :P It's mainly grass and quite flat round there, without any real 'woods', so maybe an easier one...

We had an amazing brutal 5 miler at Polesden Lacey yesterday. 2nd mile all uphill. I clocked 8:55, but 7:38 avg pace. Fabulous venue!

Well done Chunky :)

XC @ Trent Park for me yesterday. A nice mix of mud & path made shoe choice a bit tricky, I went with trail which made the uphill finish interesting!

Mr. K.
Chunkywizard - interestingly I found last year`s Sandhurst meet much better. Love that last hill.

On the back of yesterday I've ordered some mudclaws from sportsshoes.com
