Not going to lie was tough going far to many stop start moments for me. Definetely don't run enough on similar surfaces so will look to add that to next years running schedules so better prepped for XC season! Was surprised with my time considering all the walk breaks but managed a sub 50min time! Next up is Handy Cross or to take a screen name from a Fetchie ' Hills of Doom ' ! Not sure what to expect or how I will cope but will just add to all my exposure and hopefully help me improve generally over the next year!

It was the first time I'd worn spikes in 20-plus years and they were nowhere near long enough. Good fun, and we finished a respectable 8th out of 20 teams in the men, and 13th out of about 25 in the women.

It'll likely only affect a few runners, but I'll be one of them I don't doubt, and it won't save them a vast amount of effort. I shall inform them of my displeasure.
