Mr K, so you like mud then? I was over 3 minutes quicker this year vs. last and 50 places higher!

AL read your blog, sounds sensible. I love my mudclaws, I've never felt lacking in grip even at Parliament Hill. 5 Mile XC champs was on Sat at Wolverhampton - very very cold, little bits of snow on the ground. All nemesis beaten, one girl went off like a loony glad I held my composure, reeled her in and passed ![]() |

As with CW & Mr K was at Sandhurst TVXC meeting yesterday my first XC experience! Not going to lie was tough going far to many stop start moments for me. Definetely don't run enough on similar surfaces so will look to add that to next years running schedules so better prepped for XC season! Was surprised with my time considering all the walk breaks but managed a sub 50min time! Next up is Handy Cross or to take a screen name from a Fetchie ' Hills of Doom ' ! Not sure what to expect or how I will cope but will just add to all my exposure and hopefully help me improve generally over the next year! |

Our club, which is still very much in its infancy, enjoyed its first real foray into XC on Saturday there by taking part in a relay event. It was the first time I'd worn spikes in 20-plus years and they were nowhere near long enough. Good fun, and we finished a respectable 8th out of 20 teams in the men, and 13th out of about 25 in the women. |

Alex, at Handy Cross don't worry about walking the hills, they are brutal and quite a lot of people walk! Its about 250m of elevation according to Strava: strava.com You'll have earned the cake at the end! |

Hi Alex, timing on my entry seems fine on the results. If your is out just contact your TVXC rep at BFR and they will sort it

oi you
I see that the SEAA has said that they'll not be recording times over 90 minutes at the Southern Champs this year. Seems a shame really. It'll likely only affect a few runners, but I'll be one of them I don't doubt, and it won't save them a vast amount of effort. I shall inform them of my displeasure. |
