larrry
Struggled from the start to the finnish .A great night just too hot to run .
maisie
rather warm evening.
Gordo
Struggled from early on but especially between 3-4k and again at 6-7k. Over two mins slower than PB which was very disappointing. No real reason for poor run that I can work out. Need to put it behind me and hope for better at Clydebank!
daviec
Gun Time 38:17, Chip Time 38:12. Position 53/958. Category Pos 29/222. New PB, but don't feel I did myself justice. Was on 36.xx pace for the first 5k and hit a new 5k PB during the race. Felt comfortable knocking out 6 minute miles for ther first 3 - but lost it a bit between 5 and 6 miles and didn't want it enough to pick up the pace. Happy enough with a PB, but will be running hard at Killie next week and looking for a better time.
Jamis
Dont think a PB is on the cards, going through with Keef and some of the guys. Should be a laugh if anything:)Suppose to run this last year untill a JCB digger turned up in my front garden 2hrs before the race. If you see a Hamilton Harrier says a big HELLO!!!!!
Gymaddict
hot hot hot
ClaireT
Pleased with run, chuffed to finally break the 10K PB, an improvement of around 30s. Not sure my 'real' time as they didn't record my chip time only my gun time and other runners standing in front of me on the start line had a chip time 3 seconds faster so probably was 38.30. Like running in the heat, so I enjoyed the conditions, but did flag a bit between 5-6k feeling dehydrated and was turning each corner in hope the water station would hurry up and appear. Well done to the many club mates and Fetchies who had good runs tonight.
John Kynaston
Hoping to run under 39mins. I've not run this course before but know the area well. I'm recovering well after 53mile Highland Fling.
keef
felt fine at start,at 7km the energy was fading fast ,the heat definetly took its toll, not happy with time was expecting to aim for a pb ,need to have long hard assessment
El Del
Not a good day at the office. Felt lethargic, and legs heavy, then had a stitch for 2K near the end. 10th time I have run this, and slowest ever.
gilly b
Oh dear, not as good as I hoped for, over a minute slower than last year. I really struggled 2nd 5k, too warm - disappointed with time.
kyt
will try and get here on time this year, as much fun as it was...

AFTERS: beautiful toasty evening for the spectators. shockerooni for me! from acorns...
Sandhra
Far too warm for me! Disapointed with time but I did have to stop to loosen chip strap before it cut off my circulation completely!!
claire@craigens
Well if everything goes well Im hoping to smash my p.b - fingers crossed x
Edmondo
Despite a bit of a groin strain, I managed to keep a steady pace on a fairly flat Troon course and get a new PB. Temperature dropped a bit by start time which helped. Started a bit far back so got boxed in when the prom narrowed - in hindsight no bad thing as I was able to overtake a fair few as the race went on.
Billy-Whizz-Haining
Injuries and illness finally caught up with me, but at least i,m running again, i felt terrible from start to finish i hope i dont have a race like that for a while, oh well onward and upward.
_bod_
Couldn't really have went any better. A new PB by 42 seconds. Well done to everyone who got a PB tonight.
wil e coyote
haven't run really since FLM due to injury so a nice run oot in the sleepy retirees resort by the sea will do nicely for a starter back

probs with leg during the race, had to pull upx3, but enjoyed the race and buzz of the event, masses of fun runners, great killie attendance as usual
Sunbed Athlete
Very warm night.Even the breeze was warm.Didnt manage a drink as cup crushed with me trying to grab it.
was happy enough with state of fitness. Will take a few more to get back to where i was & then try for that sub 32.Excellent race tho. With your Mum & Uncle on the commitee you miss out on all the hassle of waiting for nos./t-shirt/tea 7 coffee @ end etc etc.
LouLou
Run this 10 days after Lochaber... not expecting much but ran a faster 10k in the marathon than my existing PB.
UPDATE - Legs felt tired at start, warm night, improved PB but better to come...
Slacker Runner
It was hot...
bedlam_g
Feels like a chance missed to do a sub 37. In the end I should probably be pleased after a really bad month of injury niggles.
Laura =D
Was very warm, but really need to do more training, will start again properly after exams :)
