Silver Strider Course changes on the day due to conditions. Tough course with all the usual ingredients. It cot colder, wetter and windier as the race went on. My aductors felt ruined after the bog section. Turned right ankle and jarred left bridge of foot.

Some of the descents were treacherously slippery mud and rock combinations. Course was quite technical in places lots of right side traverses that troubled a sore ankle that I turned.

Some of the deep mud sections caused dorsi-flexion trouble.

Innovate, calf guards, seal skins, long sleeved base layer, club vest, gel belt, buff was perfect choice for headwear. Fingers froze in Gore gloves needed waterproof gloves or second pair.

Would recommend Wind proof and long sleeve base layer and number belt as ideal. Gels in pocket. No need to carry fluid. Bexhill Runners and Triathletes 3:11:42 3:29:52 3:20:00 3:29:52 46.26
