Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

My run was a boring 5M. First marathon Sunday after next and I'm finding the wait unbearable. I just want it to get to race day so I can on with my life!

Not great as nagging pain in my backside the whole way. If I start feeling a little stiff it usually subsides, but not today. Hey ho!

Still made it round. (maybe foolishly?? but once I start I don't want to stop!)

Sort of tempo/fartlek type session today. Averaged about 7 minute miling for the main 5 mile part of the run. I was quite happy with that considering how tired my legs are at the moment, and how tired I am having had so little sleep recently.

essential running kit:

Trainers
Vest and shorts
Water (if run is over 10 miles)
Gels (if run is closer to 20 miles)
Ipod (on some long runs you might want to listen to some music)
LAPTOP - essential on all runs to access this site!

One of the best runs I've done - 7k around Loch Morlich near Aviemore on the trails. Really envious of the guys running the Aviemore Half in October - route is fantastic. Not too hot and no wind. Fab

plan was 1 mile jog, 6x400m fast with x200m jog recovery then 1m jog, but after 3 sets I was so shattered that Icouldn't complete the sets.
