Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

How was your run today?

Some very impressive long runs here, well done all. As yet I cant imagine what that is like.

I did my longest run for a long time; 7.93 miles, round Carsington Water, it was great fun. I still cant manage to run up all the hills but i felt really strong at the end which i'm very proud of. I'm doing a 5 mile race in two weeks and really hope I can do a good time for me, which would be sub 64 minutes!

Really SB, well done! I really enjoy reading your comments. I'm hoping to do a marathon next year but am not able to visualise it yet, it will be my birthday present to myself - its one of those unmentionable landmark birthdays!

Not doing owt today - total rest day. :-)

Hello SB, FR.

D, you will be surprised at how soon you will come to regard anything below 10 miles as a short run :-)

Good luck with the 5 miler :-)

Steady 5.4mles at 2pm in the heat. Ran in asics tiger paw, not used them for almost a year, felt good and a welcome change to the nike zoom air marathoners.
Really need to go to Horwich and so some track sessions!, that is sheer torture.

Didn't do much as I was resting but given a reality slap by my friend who on no (and I mean virtually zero ever training - maybe two four milers and a six miler) did 20.05 for his first race - a 5K. Eh?
