Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Bit of a minor breakthrough tonight, a full 5 mile run @ 70% with an average pace of less than 10 min miles. Considering when I started this heart rate malarky it was nearly 11 min miles this is good - my body is running faster at less effort, and that can only be a good thing!!

Well done Hendo I really need to get technical with my training don't I. I just go out and run a certain distance, and go as quick or as slow as I feel like. I'm guessing this is wrong lol

Well I wouldn't say it was wrong per se John - the fact that you run as you feel is good, ie if you need to go slower you do, so that's a step in the right direction! I think once you're settled into running a certain amount (and the beginners improvement curve begins to plateau) you can then tweak your training a bit to improve.

I'm sure Gobi will disagree with me though - he usually does lol :)

I suppose it depends what you want out of running, some people run just for the fun, others to try and beat PB's and some just to challenge themselves.
