Sime A lot busier than I expected, started quite a way down from the start line. First couple of miles were very crowded. Felt pretty good all the way, tired a little between 9 & 10 but then Rob passing me spurred me on a bit, pushed on to keep and with Rob then caught him at about 10.5. Found the cobbles in the park a nightmare at 12 miles so ran on the grass. steady through the castle then really pushed the last half mile into the stadium and somehow managed the lap! smash Am pretty much definate to PB here, but by how much? would like to get under 2hrs, but recent training and injury may put pay to that................ Yeah, well, plenty of room for improvement now! ITBS and a painful hip made me do the 'old man shuffle' for the last 3 miles - very painful and disappointing cos i was on for about 2:05 before that. WildeRover Revised predicted time down a bit. All depends on the day - I've had days when I have felt so good in training that I could smash my PB, other days when it feels like a heck of a good time to try to beat. ****************************************** Over a minute inside last year, so pretty happy with that. There have been times in the last year when I have been in better form and could have gone even quicker - but at least this gives me something beatable for next year.
