The results of Kent League yesterday show me 7th of 12 M70+ which, to be honest, I’m pretty pleased with. The 2 leaders, an M70 & an M75, were a full 2mins/mile quicker. Superb running really. |

SPR
First league XC for me today. Great to be back out there after almost 2 years (23 months for me)! No trees pulled up today but wasn't expecting that. Was running fairly well even to slightly progressive but got a stitch in the last mile and gave up a few of the places I'd made up via the steady start. Did manage to recover for a sprint so gained a few back. Definitely a shock to the system and needed this one to remind my body how it feels and have some confidence to push on in those later in the season.

3 rounds of the Kent League now completed. By my reckoning I’m in 8th place (of 14). I’m not sure I’ll be running the 4th and final leg, so my chances of fame and riches seem to drifting away.

Oi you, I was 2nd in the M50 competition after the first meeting but dropped out of contention because I missed the Somerhill School meeting. I am however leading the over 50 and specifically the M55 category in the Kent Fitness League...😀 |

Shame about missing Somerville, Alun. It’s my favourite venue as it just seem more interesting than most of the others. M70 races are done now, and I finished 8th in the league. It can’t have been very nice this Saturday, not sure if I’m sorry I missed it or not. Well done on KFL |

Good grief that was cold today. North Mids at Berry Hill in Mansfield having been nicely churned up by the County Champs last weekend. Lake in the middle of the park frozen solid, visibility about 100 yards in the fog. Lovely

I ran at Birmingham League in Div2 and came 76th. Lots of people really suffered. Burton Dasset is a little lumpy
