Our club has stopped doing N Staffs league (lack of interest) which is a shame. XC relays 22nd Oct and Birmingham league starts in Nov. Most of the ladies fixtures are close to me which is good assuming I'm fit enough to make it found without dying.

First race of the season on Saturday (15th), can't wait.
The only downside is my son's in a cast from fingers to armpit after picking up a buckle fracture of his left forearm playing rugby and can't run, hoping that he'll only need a lightweight forearm cast or splint and will be fit to defend his school title next month???

Fixture 1 for Brum & Districts league next Saturday. No all leagues fixture this year though.
We are at Cheltenham which is a nice challenging course.

Leamington for us as our first race next Saturday! That b***ming ditch again!! Unfortunately, as our men run in Division 3, none of our races are at the same venue this season On the plus side, more cake for us (and we can get home quicker!).

Have a good run SD, I had a blood clot on my lung in June and have only just started running again so not going to attempt XC until I'm reasonably fit and not on blood thinners. Possibly some of the fixtures in 2017.
Might come and watch some, the MWCCL fixtures are quite good for me this season, Leamington, Welcombe Hills near Stratford, Wolves (used to live there) and Warwick Uni.
Our men are D3 too. I know what you mean, good to have the extra support if they are there as well.

D1 here, so we race with the women in the last fixture at Warwick Uni.
Sounds nasty Ndellar, hope you're better soon.

^^ get well soon
Best xc race for a long time at fixture 1 last month, pancake flat though.
Boggart Hole next week, lumpier and will be muddier.
Racing in x-talon rather than spikes this year unless we get proper rain for a good while.

I'm fine thanks SPR, I won't bore you with all the gory details but I think because I had a good lung capacity from all the running it didn't impact me too much in day to day life (I wasn't out of breath as a symptom, just in major pain!) and recovery has been good so far.
I watched the XC relays at Wolves next week and was really jealous, but the bottom line is I am happy to be alive so the comeback will take as long as it will take.
