Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

SPR we are five for A team, but scores are good because:
Say two teams of five
Team A have runners 1,3,5,7,10 total = 26
Team B have runners 2,4,6,8,9 total = 29

In men's it is ten to score worked out:
Team A = 1, 3, 5,7,9,10 etc..

But points are awarded only up to 90 (9 teams of ten), so even if you get 29 men out after the first ten the other 19 and their positions are ignored. Seems completely weird to me as it doesn't encourage many to run as they don't benefit the team unless really fast already.

You can see the scoring systems in action here:

Mr. K.
If you are North Hampshire Way then the Lord Wandsworth Open XC is a good one.....well 5 actually as it`s a series.

Vest, shorts, spikes, proper mud, proper hill, tree obstacles - yeah hell it`s a good one.

Hang on, surely the rules don't say you must wear only vests and shorts? Lol.

That's interesting Curly (can't seem to view the link properly on phone though), I don't like the alternating positions being in different teams though. We have a and B but A is first six and B is second six. Obviously B is less prestigious, and it doesn't get a prize, but it gives people something to aim for.

I'm at the Leam XC too - it was muddy enough there last week when we recce'd some of the course! I'm thinking about how bad it will be for all the men for their laps, esp. their 2nd / 3rd after we have done our 2 laps, mwahahah

Hope Leam was fun, miss that course.

I skipped XC St Helens for a shorter steadier run on local trails. Back for next one all being well.

It was very very soft at Leamington! :) , ditch was pure slop by the time the men got round to it. I've run that XC a lot of times and think it's the wettest I've seen it
